I thought we usually post a few examples with a deal?

I bet I couldn't find a dvd retailer (or possibly any retailer) that doesn't currently have a 'up to' sale on.

What makes this one worth the look?

Just reads as a press release.

It's a new promo, just started today, i gave some examples of the types of reductions they have. Nothing wrong with a sale headsup

DS games are a joke (I think they just up the RRP price to be able to say 50% off) but there are a few decent prices in PC (Medieval Total War 2 for £5.50ish, and King Kong Lim Ed 2.99). I wouldn't get excited.

Amazon are slow to update their prices when they do sales, it may be worth checking back for updates

Had a quick look - Not that great really - the clue is in the phrase 'up to x% off' - most items not heavily discounted at all.

A poor clearance promo - clever Amazon spin.

yes unfortunately its seems its the same tatt they are still trying to get rid off

Most up to "SALES" are just the old toot that nobody wants.
#8
Thanks amibees. Managed to pick up a couple of things as a result of your post.

I would yet again say ban all "up to" posts and only put actual individual deals on here.

Else we'll end up with a site full of "up to 99% " off . When its really a terrible deal.

Rubbish sale. Most items are only 10%-20% off at best, and those items are pretty crap anyway.

As for the ones that are actually 50-70% off, like some of the watches, a few of those are decent deals, but I really dont believe the "RRP" for many of them, in fact I think they're made up or grossly exaggerated.

All their heavily reduced watches are always utterly minging.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Any mistakes there?

Aww give the kid a break. He's probably a victim of the current phonetic spelling phenomenon. :)

I agree all a pile of proverbial - I took one glance and the first thing I saw was the Kenwood KM336 at £145! that's not even close to a sale, Robert Dyas have it for the same not even on sale, Pixmania for £139 not even on sale.

It's a joke, only clearing out rubbish they bought in from China that they couldn't shift.

Cold, cold, cold. Only an idiot would buy anything in that 'sale'

rubbish, but thanks for the post.
