Great Deal. :)

I own the Humax HDR-FOX T2, not satellite, uses an aerial, and I wouldn't be without it.
It cost more than the above so I guess the Freesat is about to be discontinued/replaced, sounds like a great buy.

It's been about that price for ages. You can also get it for £249.95 at John Lewis with a 2 year guarantee or £263.94 at Richer Sounds with a 5 year guarantee.

The Freeview HD version is about £50 more expensive sadly. I hope that drops in price soon!

Great post certainly worth some heat.
However suggest you look for the 320gb version available sub £200.00 in many shops and replace the hd with a 1tb for about £40.00. Details of how to swap and which hd are available on many sites, do a google.
Similar price to Amazon, twice the space for 5/10 work undoing a few screws.

this is nearly 2 years of subscription where you get more channels.

needs to come down to around £150 before worth getting.

I just paid £249 at Currys.
Most Humax products seem to come with a manufacturers 2 year guarantee anyway.

I don't believe there is a 320GB version with an HD tuner.

Changing the hard drive could invalidate the warranty I would have thought.

not having a go at you, but why would you think Freesat is about to be discontinued? because freeview hd receivers are more expensive?? hmm.

this is a good deal, but i wish it dropped a bit more in price!

I didn't mean Freesat I meant this particular recorder.
