The previous price of the Grade A PVR's up until now has been £229. However HumaxDirect have now dropped the price to £215.

The Hotukdeals website is preventing me to post the direct link as an online deal as it is saying this is a duplicate deal. This is not a duplicate deal as the price has dropped to £215.

The direct link for those interested is:

http://www.humaxdirect.co.uk/product.asp?ProdRef=10076&cat=Factory

Options on delivery start from £5 for 3>5 day delivery (I have just placed an order for one and it is offering me this Friday (15th Jan)

Have you actually received it? Good on you if you have
I'd love to know as I saw the post and it was a definate misprice. Unfortunately I saw it too late when the price was hiked back up to £269

Why are people voting cold?

Aside from the misprice deal on Amazon last week and the 24 hour £199 deal at John Lewis before Christmas I have not seen this cheaper anywhere else.

If anyone knows of any better deals out there on this product please share with us, as it is a highly sought after product and there are many out there waiting for the price to drop.

Perhaps ppl should vote with their feet and boycott the satellite VR's. They are vastly over-priced compared to the freeview box, because there is no competition for freesat boxes.

Just a question - will it ever be possible to get BBC iplayer and HD tv from a freeview box?
I don't want to splash out £200+ (even if it is a good deal) if freeview will be able to provide the same soon.

Thanks

The A grade from Humax only has a 1 yr warranty.

Most other places give you 2 yrs, so take that into account.

If you link your PC/Laptop upto your TV, you should be able to watch Iplayer on your TV ? Not sure if this is what you're after.

I got 320 GB and was brand spanking - like a grade A product, but better.

True, although they are coming down in price. I think a lot of folk are holding out for these to drop beloww the £200 mark (I have been, but am sorely tempted to buy in at this price).

Remember also, for some of us Freeview isn't an option, and without the option of cable in my area either Satelite is the only option for us. So other than SKY (who imo is the devil incarnate) Freesat is the only option.

My family has bought a lot of Humax PVRs and two of them failed and two have had issues so a long warranty is worth it I suggest for a HDD PVR. If you can get a deal with a 3 or 5 year warranty then snap it up; John Lewis or Richer Sounds!

For iPlayer, if you have a Wii connected to your TV you can get the iPlayer on that...
