That's a lot of money for a 19", but I suppose if you absolutely need 4:3 it would do...

The most expensive one at micro direct which is a very very well rated samsung is £199. And you can get ones that are of excellent quality for £149 so £199 for a cheap name brand isn't hot.

I don't know about this TV, but Humax is anything but a cheap brand name!

I used to be a demonstrator for a top brand electronics manufacturer of LCD and Plasma screens in a retail store, it doesn't take long to find out that the screens these manufacturers use are ones that people like toshiba, lg, etc discard as not being of a high enough standard to use in their own units.

We had similar Humax units in when I was working there and I won't disclose how many got returned due to dead pixels (not even sub-pixels but full ones and in large batches) but lets just say it was alot more than any of the more well known brands we stocked.

I'm just trying to help here but paying £200 for a screen by a brand like this when you can at least buy a samsung for the same price makes no sense at all unless 4:3 is paramount, in which case I'm sure you could still fidn one from a better brand at a better price.

I never said use MD, I used to work for them and I won't ever shop there, I was simply comparing prices. I don't understand why people get so defensive when a few people simply inform them a deal isn't hot

An antiquated Samsung would still be better than that....

After reading some of your responses (on this and other threads) I've come to realise you're a bit of an arrogant git...

If its 1440x900 its 16:10 not 4:3. Still not a great deal though.

Hmm, I'm a working class man from a working class family.
Hardly a snob, or is anyone that disagrees with you a snob (I saw you call someone else it on another thread).
