That's a great deal. Paid £180 for mine 2 weeks ago and that was with £20 off!

If you are looking to get a freeview PVR, this is fantastic. Only had it a short while and already can't live without it!

Out of stock with all the postcodes I've tried (TF,SA,GU)

Okay - DSG have none of these in-stock at all for home delivery - that means none in Dixons, Curry's (except instore for £199.98 ) or PC World.

Worthwhile post though cos it will be a bargain when they come back into stock providing that DSG don't raise the price for Pc word in-line with Curry's.

Only thing is may not be coming back into stock as the new version Humax 9200TB is due to be launced on 15 June so maybe not getting any more of this version although i am just speculating here.

Got one of these a couple of weeks ago from Laskys and paid £173 delivered so this is a great price if it becomes available.

Tell me more about this shiny newness. :) Perchance does it carry Wi-Fi connectivity in place of/alongside USB?

I'm not 100% sure but I think the new model is the same as the old one but with the latest firmware.:?
#10
With all DSG prices, if it ends in 98p its end of line and 97p its clearence.
#11
this a cracking piece of kit, well worth the £210 i paid a year ago, would fully recommend! £150 is a bargin

I've managed to order mine for £165.98 via www.empiredirect.co.uk but the prices has now shot back up to the £199 mark. But I have been waiting for the last 2 weeks as there is a massive shortage for it.

In addition if you check out www.clearance-comet.co.uk (comets auction site) so far once a week they put the the Humax PVR9200T freeview box which sells for approx £140 but they are a display model with the standard scratches on them etc...

Thanks for the info & welcome to HUKD dregnet :)

Best bit of TV kit I've ever bought. Had mine a year. Trying to find a reason to buy this one too!

No wi-fi connectivity sadly - it is "freeview playback" branded machine.

This means it will some added features like auto buffering so you don't miss start/end of your favourite programme and also a series-link for the EPG (like on Sky+). Also would appear this updated version model is only available in black although Humax will be launching an updated version model in silver in the coming months (once retailers have ridded of the old silver pvr-9200t that are not freeview playback branded).

More info and Can be bought direct from Humax here: http://www.humaxdirect.co.uk/product.asp?ProdRef=10036&cat=stb

Unfortunately, this is yet another DSG Group ( Currys/Dixons/PC World etc. ) bargain offers that they do not stock, nor are they ever likely to stock at this price.

They do it on a regular basis, I reckon it is a ploy to up their site hits.

Just a quick question. I got something at Dixons online but as Dixons do not have shops anymore, I have to deal with the online / mail order side of the company - is that correct?

If you buy online from PC World and Currys, as they have shops, can you take stuff back to them?

It is just a point of clarification really as I usually do online for the quidco discounts etc. Help appreciated on this.

I try to get extra back up on the warranty with a Nationwide credit card - free extra year - but they don't give this on items with hard drives. I've a Digifusion DVRT150 (no don't laugh) and after 8 months use, it decided to clean my hard drive. It is good with the dual recording etc but I will not trust it with too much stuff in the future.

The 9200TB about to be released appears to just be the Black version, rather than silver, with the latest firmware already installed.

Ive got the 9200t. Had it for over a year. Love it. Cracking quality machine with manufacturers 2 year guarentee. The inbuilt freeview tuner is excellent..better than the tuner on my two Plasma/LCD tvs.

Well yes you can deal direct with the Tech Guys who will deal with any problems/repairs/warranty claims within the first year (only contact Dixons over the phone if it is in the first 28 days).

However since most Dixons stores are now just renamed "Currys.Digital" you can just bring your receipt they sent you via the post for your on-line order and they wil deal with any problems. Well at least my local Currys.Digital took back a dixons mobile phone a few months back for me for a repair - however i think this is actually up to the Manager's discression whether they do this or not.

The new updated version will also be released in silver in due course.

Hi!

These are still available at Curry's at £199, but since PCWorld still advertises these are £149.98 on their web site they will price match without any problems.

I picked up one of these for my parents last week in Coventry. My first stop was PCworld who of course did not stock them, but they checked the stock at Currys located next door and they had quite a few in stock.

Cheers,

Martin
