Worth putting Humax (and the price) in the title. I clicked on this expecting it to be a budget brand as there was no make in the title. Good find!

Thanks m8! I changed the title! ;-)

Great deal, good PVR :)

HDMI has made the quality much better on my LCD than SCART did.
#4
There might be a problem with this as description on site says 250Gb but in detail for Hard Drive says 320gb.

It is a 320GB system.... here's a review...

The unit produces dynamic stereo sound from the HDMI and Scart sockets, or through either of the dedicated audio outputs. Just as well, because in operation the PVR-9300T emits a loud whirring noise that could interfere with your listening enjoyment, particularly at night with the volume subdued.

Considering the Humax PVR-9300T's wealth of talents and its price, it offers better value for money than its Topfield rival. Performance is first class, it's easy to use and it delivers its wealth of features with a slickness missing from most Freeview PVRs on the market. Buy one.

Got the older model its fantastic, best on the market

Great price but tempted to wait and see what people say about the firmware fix for the stupidly loud fan on this model!

Humax are shipping all new builds with this new 'smart' fan upgrade then releasing an over the air firmware upgrade for all existing users in November.

Sorry for being a bit thick but............... will it record Sky??:?

Is it out now?
What about enabling the USB port, as that is the other downside on the current models over the 9200T

Think its currently in beta testing just now.

Also, with the exception of the first batch of the 9300's, they no longer have an USB port full stop!

Let us know what you think once you get hooked up. Most importantly, let us know if it sounds like a fighter jet outside your window or whether the reviews I've read have been exaggerated.

I got mine in the 1st batch and works great, my older 9200 died so got a warranty swap (good ol' John Lewis), the fan is a bit noisy but mines in a closed glass cabinet so can hardly hear it :)
And yeah 320GB.

Might that not be the reason?!?!

Might that not be the reason?!?!

That's what I was hinting at! If you keep it in a closed cabinet you won't hear it that much & if not then you probably will hear it.

No, not the noise, the reason it clapped out!
My gear runs hot enough (especially in the summer) completely in the open, so reduce the cooling and you are asking for problems, especially when other equipment is there too.

Inside cabinets is one the prime causes of digibox failure;-);-)

Hi folks I'm well chuffed with it so far, works like a dream and the picture is ace! The fan is no louder than the fan on my Sony TV so I dont hear it, your ear becomes atuned to it so you dont notice it anyway. I wouldn't say it was loud anyway.

Just setting up my Harmony remote to work it with the rest......:-D

Oh and many thanks Mllarcat for taking the time to update it for me, I'm learnin' ;-)
