'One of the most important artistic creations ever to come out of Ireland' (Gamesgeek). Hyperbole or nay, that's enough to make me intrigued :). Cheers OP.

I remember playing speedball against a colour blind guy which i generally won because he could never work out which men were on his team :D

We used to do some really screwed up things back in the day... kids will be kids. When we couldn't afford games on tape, occasionally, a rather skilled friend of mine (cough) would buy a game at Smiths on tape, disassemble the tape outside, switch the spools with a blank, screw it back together again & take the tampered with 'original' back to the store for an exchange or money back. So we would get games for free or 2 games for the price of 1. Little swines that we were :-)

I do miss those days though, for the rotating racks of games at the local news agents. CJs Elephant Antics for £1.99 for C64 - what a bargain ;-)

Ha ha ha!!!

We used to buy one, take it home, copy it, and then get someones mum (whoevers was willing!) to return it.

They would never take returns from kids cos they (quite rightly) didn't trust us not to have copied it. But get yer mum to go in and say you got two of them for your birthday and you usually got to change it (for a title you'd told the mum in question to get for you).

They did a lot of good stuff but some of the early ones ( I seem to recall some sort of awful Michael Jackson game?) were pretty bad ...

Back when arcade conversions were generally awful! I was really looking forward to C64 Final Fight, until I bought it X)

They did do lots of good games, Masteronic back in the day.

They also did some absolute stinkers.

the school ground nickname of Master'chronic' was sometimes used fairly.

Great times.

I had the Atari ST version which had music but no sound fx, still offered hours of entertainment :)
Amazingly the ST version had a two player mode, unlike the Snes.

I never had the snes version - heard about it but never saw it in the shops. Atari ST and Amiga were superior to C64 - I think I would have been happier with either of those conversions compared to this:

I too had the Atari ST version of Chaos Engine which I loved. Used to do multiplayer with my bro - good times. Was always jealous though of the Amiga's SFX because it had digitised voices.

Let that jealousy end today haha!

Actually one thing I remember at the time - the cover art didn't have screenshots of the conversions on the back, just the arcade screenshots - so you didn't know what the game looked like. (if it hadn't been reviewed) I suppose it's a bit like every modern game tv advert with "not actual gameplay footage" X)

Does The Chaos Engine support Mac as part of this bundle?
