TBH I often treat these as a way of giving to charity whilst trying out games I otherwise wouldn't. If one turns out to be good that's a bonus!

Nice to see the bundles back from their brief hiatus - heat from me, of course.

As always, if anyone has any spare keys, donations for my weekly giveaways are very welcome. :D

What does early access mean?
#14
Wow, surprising to see Tharsis in the give-away tier; it's not that old.

What does early access mean?
Basically means it's in Alpha. So you are pretty much playing a game that is full of bugs and isn't finished.

Something that is worth noting about the BTA games. I expect a lot of people will be aware of Space Engineers and Rust without ever having actually played them, and if you just look at the overall review levels both seem to be well received. However, recent reviews for both are far more critical. It seems that with Space Engineers the multiplayer is buggy to the point of it being difficult to play the game, whilst Rust has apparently introduced a new XP system that is getting widely panned and supposedly completely changes the way you have to play the game. Just to confirm, but I haven't played either. I'm just going off the recent reviews.

Of course the BTA price is currently a little over £3, which is still crazy value to my mind, and I have purchased at that level anyway. But just something to be aware of for those that have been drawn in Space Engineers and Rust in particular.

#20

#21
Hell yes for Rust, been on the hunt for a decent survival game to have a bit of fun
#22
available for Linux

Pay what you want!
only Savage Lands available

Pay more than the average
Rust and Shelter 2 available

Pay $14
not even available on Linux.

Anyone played Savage Lands, is it any good, I might go for this just for Shelter 2 and Rust.

Yeah a valid point. After a promising start (and a surge of purchases) many of these games get trapped in development hell. The players start to exploit flaws and they are so numerous and complex the developers struggle to fix them. As the sales start to drop they become less inclined to invest money back into development.

As you say though, at this price they're still worth recommending.

Well worth it just for Rust if you haven't played it yet. I've not played it for a few months and I've heard the new XP system is a grind but the developers have already said they will address this. The game is highly addictive though and even better if you have a few friends to help you.

This is a good one! Already got the biggest titles from it and am slightly peeved that it's got Rust when it was in a Monthly bundle not too long ago (and in the mid tier too, which I feel is putting a much lower value on it than when it was pretty much the biggest/most valuable game in the Monthly) but will be getting it anyway, particularly for Kholat which I've been after for ages and Shelter 2 which I like the look of. Just wish it had Medieval Engineers as well as/instead of Space Engineers as I've been struggling to find that at a decent price.
#27
Wow, best humble bundle ever (though that is because I like survival games).

So many games on this list I want to play. AWESOME. Thanks OP

just been playing shelter 2, its quirky... don't really know what I'm supposed to be doing though just killing rabbits ha

For Rust there were at peak 43,981 concurrent players yesterday with 97% of owners still playing the game- it's a massively popular game. The recent update has been good for it ( but as peeps don't like change some complain.) No other game I currently play gives me the feeling of absolute seat of my pants gameplay as Rust. Give it a try everyone!

Excellent choice of games for 76p! I was considering Tharsis on the PS4 but hesitated as I've not played this sort of game before and people said the rolls were quite harsh/game is hard. Still looks like I might enjoy it. Savage Lands looks interesting but there seems to be a spate of these kind of survival games in early access recently. Again for this ridiculously generous price it's worth a shot. Kholat has a very good word of mouth, and who doesn't love Sean Bean?

You dont even need a gaming pc to get better performance than a mac... buy a low end 300 quid thing and it will destroy it.

I haven't asked them for specific reasons, but a lot of my friends were trying to get me to join them in that game - then suddenly gave up. I haven't seen them playing it, or heard them talk about it in a while now so I'm assuming they've all quit it.

Great bundle for Rust alone. Paid £3.65 for the bundle. Rust retails at £14.99 and always fancied a go so it's a no brainer for me.
