Went to look for the Soave wine listed on here and found this which is alot better. Bought one and had a little taste in the car-park :-D

(Felt like a right alcoholic)

It's nice so went back and bought five more boxes, by the way it's 12%

Sorted for Christmas can't go wrong at £1.50 a bottle

They had loads left in the Asda (Rotherham) near where i live

Great find....made me smile at the car park wine tasting

Been caught out too many times, bought a few boxes of wine that i've not tried before in the past as they were on offer and hated the stuff so didn't want to risk it again. And then i've also just bought one box that was on offer incase it wasn't nice, got it home had a little slerp that night and loved went back the next day and there was none left so this way seemed the best option

I've done it with a bottle before but a cask :w00t:

Did you drink it straight from the tap or do you now come armed with a crystal wine glass? :-D
#8

Good spot though.

Come to think of it, Asda had 4*330ml cans of Bud for £3, which is very good as well, hick!
#12
Hungarian wine?? doesn't sound to great.
#13
Tasting in the car park?
Did you detect subtle notes of Asphalt, burnt rubber and exhaust fumes.

Two words I have never associated with each other: Hungarian and Chardonnay, but I will put that down to my ignorance of Hungarian wine :o)
#14
ouch - that stuff's gonna hurt :)

Made sure the coast was clear then it was straight from the tap, i can just imagine what people would have thought if i'd been seen :p

By the way it is really nice, i thought the same as don't think i've ever had Hungarian wine before either but i'll definately be having it again if this one is to go by :)

Can someone please change the image in the OP to the image i've put in post #5 as currently its showing the image for the £5.24 red wine i've also posted? I've tried to edit it and put the correct link but it still keeps showing the other photo??? :?

WARNING. This stuff is RANK. Trust me I go to Hungary almost every year and have had 'gifts' of this stuff from Hungarian friends who have also admitted it's nasty and were taking a gamble that I may be able to find it a good home. Silit Bang Eat your heart out

Life's too short to drink cra*p wine and drinking too much of this will make it shorter still:p
#20

No its dry (not too dry though) and fruity.

I usually only drink Australian or South African wine and if you like those types of wine you'll like this!

Going to get some more tomorrow now i've had a glass full - Finished work at 5pm if anybody says anything and i've got tomorrow and Mo-a-nday off ;-)

Clearly a wine connoisseur :whistling:

Hungary has many award winning wines. I've been plenty of times and love their wine.

A boxed wine in general isn't the best regardless of origin but i'd bet on this being more drinkable then a £3 bottle of discounted Tesco wine.

Sorry to disagree. I was talking from personal experience. I am not talking rubbish. I think this stuff is RANK.

What's wrong with Hungarian wine?...this might be ermm good value but Hungarians produce some other fantastic wines.
