It is that, "and may the odds be ever in your favor" (note the american spelling of favour) :)

Don't thank me, thank goonertillidie, he posted it 2 weeks ago in the voucher area, I take no credit people, but thought it might help some as I remeber seeing it, I'll take the gratification of reminding people though :)

I prefer the Hunger Games books - at least they weren't written in "shaky cam".

Is that re-make of the classic Japanese book/movie Battle Royale;)

I guess you guys are suggesting the stories are similar? In which case I'd say although BR may have been an influence on Hunger Games (as it was on countless other films) the stories and storytelling are very different.

Do I have to get up mid-movie to switch to the next disc? Why couldn't they put it all on one disc?

    Err... no.

3 comments before BR was inevitably mentioned - is that a record?

I don't think they're all that much alike to be honest, hunger games has more in common with running man.

The film is prety good abd it could have been so much worse. The director had a real go at making a decent film. Cinematography and editing are good.

The better experience is from reading the books which are far more in depth and ive you 90% more about character and motivation, which in turn brings them all to life. The trilogu can be bought for between £5-7.

Surprisingly great film for what could have been a cheap franchise cash in. It lost it a bit in the actual arena (still some great moments) but the whole build up to the games was just fantastic.

shakey cam anyone? I thought it was crap to be honest. woody harrelson was the only redeeming feature.

The author of the book completely ripped off battle royale.

    Crap movie, dissapointing ending.

The book (and movie) is a near universal tale which seems to get updated every few years cf Tenth Victim, Lord of the Flies, Long Walk, Running Man....and yes, Battle Royale. I think it's a bit unfair to call it a rip off.

I liked the film but I hope the sequels will have a bit more get up and go. It did feel a little too reverential of the source material. Good acting by the leads though.

Urgh, Sainsbury and their lack of debit card options!
