you cant comaplin for £15.00 we went McDonalds with the kids for a treat after school tonight, 3 kids 2 adults and was £30.00 got home and my eldest asked coudl he make a sandwich lol..

To be fair though , your family would probably need a visit to McDs after this meal as this wouldn't be enough food for you (2 adult meals and 2 kids meals) , also this doesn't include drinks so add approx. £10 to this and you are at £25 and still short on meals.
Hope this clarifies my point for you this time, I know you struggled with the last one ;)

Look at you 2 bother bickering over McD's and their heart attack in a box, if you want your kids filled up with processed crap and toxic chemicals (and eventually developing god only knows what physical defects over the years) then at least be civil to each other about it.
And although hungry horse isn't the best quality pub grub, it is still quite a good deal, heat added OP :)

Cool story bro ..... Our first visit to McD's this year and my kids are all going to die of a heart attack through their consumption of 2 cheeseburgers and 1 portion of large fries , wow , just wow ;)

Point being McD's can be had for less than £30 for food alone for some of us , 2 of my kids are 13 and 15 and have good appetites.Obviously your £30 included drinks as you purchased meals so perhaps a little unfair to compare your cost as its not really like for like is it.Gives it a bit of balance when comparing the cost difference of McD's to this deal posted , that's all. Please don't be offended , my post wasn't meant to offend ;)

I bought 4 meals at £5.49+ each (as a treat) and £2.79 happy meal.. + McFlurry so £30.00

you bought 2 cheeseburgers at 99p each and 4 fries.. hardly comparable. Im not offended but clearly your comment had subtext.

But well done for buying less food cheaper.

Wow ..... we went the other day , 2 adults 3 kids and our bill was just under £15. Breaking it down , we had ....2 cheeseburgers and large fries x 4kids meal x 1We were all full and we had our tea late so we were all really hungry too ;)
2 of my kids are older teens, an extra value meal is about £5.00 each. and whats your point?

I work at Hungry Horse and I want to kill myself, it's busy enough as it is without these deals. be aware the only fresh thing is the salad and steaks, everything else is the cheapest quality frozen produce, I regret the day I joined and I'm only their for 2 more weeks. the one in barrow in furness is amazing the food is really good, only had one problem and they fixed that quickly plus gave me my cash back which was a nice surprise, am a budget foodie with a family, maybe in bigger places like cites the food quality may drop but not in barrow in furness

Food looks grim and is everything i hate about this country and its infatuation with reheating chains purporting to be restaurants (that no doubt reheat food cooked elsewhere food)
Quadzilla Burger is what sums up this place. Whatever next, why not just serve a cow on a plate? I just dont see the point, surely quality is better than quantity
WTF did I just read

F knows but he is not a happy bunny with this country and the food it serves up :D

Hopefully a better burger than the flaming grill (both owned by Greene king)
That was a challenge
A cold disgusting burger
I voted hot btw as lots of better stuff on the menu

aha owned by the greene king - tried food in one of their pubs for marketing purposes and everything just tasted of nothing - peas, pie and chips tasted the same. It was free but was barely worth it as i may as well have just gone to eg Asda and bought a cheap pie, frozen chips and frozen peas and saved my time and petrol

My partner got really sick after the one time we ate in a Hungry Horse, never again! He didn't feel right almost immediately and was up spewing his guts out all night. Obviously can't be sure it was from their food, but it's not an unreasonable assumption either knowing the state of these places. Also there was a large group from the travelling community running round the restaurant screaming and jumping on the tables. Wearing PJs and dressing gowns. Wish I was exaggerating but I'm not.
You guys could really do with moving cos I'm not being funny but the local Hungry Horse outlets round my neck of the woods aren't full of chavs and travellers. Just hold on a sec whilst I check Hotukdeals for a cheap mortgage deal and I'll forward you the link! Haha

Haha, we do live in Swindon so you're not wrong there!
With all these positive comments I'm surprised this deal hasn't hit 2000°+ like the McDonalds hack post! Hehe

Just a terrible offer for a single parent guess I'll be having a belly full (_;)
Don't know why everyone is expecting a gourmet chain, it's Mc Donald's with a playground. Keeps the kids happy and my purse, can't argue with that. Thanks op :)
yes marty we found the same there were loads of (non-reserved) tables but none for 2 people and the gestapo on the new silly desk said there was 3a 0 min wait for a table!!! lol! We said we'd go to the green king across the road as did several others. It's a downmarket pubchain not a restaurant! haven't been back. Also it's near about 5 other pubs/restaurants!!! but ta op anyway
Generally poor all round. The food is basic at best and I wouldn't like to guess the origins of the "beef". Our local (beekeeper, notts) used to be bearable for a cheap meal as the kids used to go and play for free in the play area whilst we waited for our meals (good job as we waited over one and a half hours on one occasion). On our last visit we found you now have to wait to be seated (the guy behind the bar kept shouting across to us to just wait 5 minutes someone will be coming....... we could see several unreserved tables from where we were stood). After 15 minutes we got shown our table (no choice......2 cheap, wobbly tables pushed together; which trapped our kids fingers and would have spilt our drinks.....if anyone had ever come to take our order). After a further 15 minutes and no one came we just gave up and left.
Any prospective new owners should be able to buy the place up cheap pretty soon.....unless they make BIG changes.
Ps. The offers they have can't be combined with any vouchers or Tesco rewards....not clear on their website or in the restaurant BUT you will be told when its too late and about to settle the bill!

The only starters on offer are varieties of grass; for anything else, try Hungry House.

BTW, I get irritated with their ads, the guy clearly asked for a Balti, yet they order him a Korma - does my head in!!.
Does anyone know if the voucher is for one starter/dessert per person, or one per party?

Was given the offer on a flyer last week and the staff didn't know (!) unless they rung up a transaction through the till and applied the offer.

Useless for me, My local hungry horse burnt down a week and a 1/2 ago :( Heat though
It was my local too, not good to have a restaurant on sixfields. I shall miss their little lemon meringue pies but shall be back once it's rebuilt
As long as it doesnt follow the same route as Red Hot and turn into a completely different restaurant(s)?? Nando's were supposed be be arriving next to Cineworld along with Prezzo a while ago I think - not sure what happened to that?
They've said it's going to be rebuilt and the landlord reckons he's going back. Fingers crossed! Kids love the little play area.

Did this last week, also wasn't advertised but asked and the cashier let me have the deal. Was a bit of agro in the end though as they then said that I had to provide an email code for the offer, or I couldn't have it. Showed them the hungry horse website and they tried to wriggle out of it saying they weren't participating in the offer. They ended up letting me have the deal, but wouldn't accept the Tesco exchange vouchers as payment.

But of hassle but still thought the £15 deal was good and can use the tesco vouchers another time.

Thanks op used this tonight.
Food was excellent value.
Probably only saves you the price of the desert but worth it still.
The offer wasn't advertised anywhere in the pub, had to ask about it
In my local it saves over £7, but a free pudding that is the size of a child's head is great ;)

Look up yr local on trip advisor for individual unbiased reviews.
I've learnt to complain now myself and on a recent visit, one of the meals was awful, we complained. matter sorted.
This was a one - off in enjoying many many enjoyable meals there.
btw, definitely can't use clubcard vouchers in conjunction with any other deals.
If there's more than 4 of you, grab the £15 offer and then pay for any extra food on a separate order, using whatever vouchers you may have

in the last year i have had 2 x£50 food vouchers after having bad experiences in local eateries..also reimbursement for a hotel stay (unexpected after i commented when they sent me a satisfaction email!)

Its always worth an email if you're less than impressed, and i also send them if i am happy with a service or place we stay.

You must be ordering the wrong dish, then. We often use Hungry Horse - cheap and cheerful, rarely disappointed. Friendly young staff.

I have to agree with the comments already posted here, as a warning to those thinking of using this offer.

When I signed up, I had never visited a Hungry Horse before, but knew there was one near the cinema. So I arranged with a friend to eat there first - and my friend also signed up to the offer.

When I presented our two vouchers, at the main counter, the waitress treated them like they had an infectious disease. She refused to deal with them, and pressed them onto another member of staff, saying she 'didn't know what to do with them'. The pair of them resumed their comfortable little chat, leaving me fuming and embarrassed, stood at the bar counter. Eventually they passed the vouchers through a door, to 'the manager'.

I waited some more. I pointed out that my friend and I were seeing a film, and were running out of time to eat the dessert, whenever it arrived. I was told the manager would be "two minutes".

Ten minutes later (and a good 25 minutes after I presented the vouchers) a third waitress came out and finally said, yes, they would honour them, what would we like? I complained about the wait and said we would have to leave in 10 minutes to see the film.

By the time the darn sundaes finally materialised, I was too stressed and upset to eat mine.

I thought about a written complaint, but then looked around me. The Hungry Horse is just a bog standard pub that does food. The tables are bare, the cutlery is greasy and comes served in a tin bucket, the food is tasteless high-calorie junk. Why would I complain? They would only offer me another chance to eat there again... and that I WON'T be doing.

If you can put up with fruit machines and gaming machines all around you, and bits of food on the floor, and dozy, unwilling, sullen teenagers as waiting staff, and you don't mind eating crap food - by all means, go and get your free ice cream.

But don't be surprised if, by the time you get it, you are as put off as I was.

You need to sort yourself out you snob.

Gambling machines in a pub? Oh the horror!

I actually laughed when I read that you were too upset to eat ice cream.

Lol.
I like our two local ones. You get what you pay for. Healthy choices for kids, decent food, kids get to watch cbeebies then play on slide, I get five minutes followed by a very nice slice of mars attack cake. Who doesn't microwave food? weatherspoons hungry horse all affordable places. Thank you very much for the free sundae and a free meal for refering someone, something for nothing whats to complain about.
I usually don't have a bad experience in my local hungry horse.

When i completed the Man vs Burrito challenge, they refunded my meal and got a free pint (with a a voucher for any big plate).

Admittedly, the drinks are a bit rubbish, especially the ales; taste like watered down milk, but the food more than makes up for it.
My local's the Seagull too, gotta agree it's really great service there - I guess it's hit and miss depending on where you go etc. but I've never had a problem with them really, cheap and cheerful
Can't fault our local - The Seagull, in Portchester. Always clean & welcoming, food is always tasty and well presented, the kids enjoy it there too.

Hungry Horse are great for a slap up pub meal, it's true that you get what you pay for - but you haven't paid for gourmet food, so don't expect it.

It is worth checking what time breakfast is served. The one I just checked is 11 am to 12 pm (midday).

Based on my experiences there, it's a dreadful place.

based on my experience over many months/years, my local Hungry Horse is fantastic (The Newton, Benton, Newcastle).

Why does every company do offers/vouchers through facef*** ? It's the spawn of the devil, started out as a good idea, now just a chavs paradise !

wellll, it's not really free is it.

It is, and it isn't ....hence why I posted in Deals not Freebies or Vouchers, even though you need a Voucher to get the Free Breakfast when you purchase the Deal !

Turn up and order Two, Pay £9.98, Present this voucher, get a Free Breakfast and pay £4.99., Deal !

If anyone is having trouble with this, it might be that you haven't actually registered as a member you need to go to the top and click 'Join', only then will the discount be applied once you've followed all the registration details. Took me ages to figure out as it will let you go through with your order without registering but then doesn't allow anywhere to apply the activation code and the order shows the full amount. Once you've joined, go back to your order as though you're going to edit it and then click 'Checkout' and it'll prompt you to put in your code.

I've ordered tonight so it's still working.

Are you putting in a correct mobile number, they should send you a pin which you have to enter to get the discount
