anyone confirm this mattress is better than the airsprung one in my previous post?
#17
Wow - thats cracking - Had to change the code to upper case to enter but apart from that a great deal.
I'm really looking to a nice comfy night's sleep - our bed is less comfortable than the floor!

Its also handy if you have some tesco vouchers approaching expiry date to lump them in to the purchase.

Thanks to the OP.

Yes It is - has more springs (800 compared to 325), and they are pocket rather than open springs, which usually means better quality.

I'm a bit confused because the single says it has 800 pocket springs too so one of the descriptions must be incorrect. If my single has less than 800 pocket springs I'll be ringing Tesco to complain for some cash back. If the king size has more than 800 I guess its a Brucey Bonus.
#20
I ordered this double mattress for £225 + £5 delivery and got the extra 5000 points as its original price is over £350

http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.207-6725.aspx

I've been looking out for a new mattress and with Clubcard points worth £163.80 in Clubcard deals and £19.14 cashback (based on its full price) on top I am very happy.
#21
You can also get 3% quidco but mine is tracking at £23.36 which is about 8%.

That appears to be 3% of the after promotion price

From their website (the "features" box):
How Many Coils or Springs: 800 Pocket Springs (Kingsize)

It's a common thing for bed shops to list the spring count on their biggest mattress - makes them all sound better..so I would expect your single to have maybe 500-600 or so..

I do think you will be proven right on this one, however the description for the single mattress says:

'Sink into luxurious comfort courtesy of this pocket single divan set from the Charleston range. The mattress is comprised of a 800 pocket spring unit with individual springs that move independently for extra support and comfort.'

So if the single doesn't have 800 its a false description and I'd have good reason to complain I believe.
#24
Maybe yeah, we'll see :)

Still a bargain price for that single though, and sure it will still be very comfortable

2 codes not mutually accepted - either 5000 points or £10 off. Policy appears to be 14 days but not sure on the refunded delivery cost.

I ordered a double divan at Christmas and when it arrived I refused delivery because of the quality and the delivery guys took it back. Tesco were really good about it as well. I'd ordered it with the club vouchers double offer and because they said they couldn't put the double points back on they refunded the full price back onto my credit card

when you called did they say they normally charged for returns based on ""poor quality""? its a bit hit and miss buying items like this ... dont suppose it was this make you bought?

Just cancelled the airsprung and got this instead. Forgot headboard. Will get one tmrw.

headboards are expensive on tesco site
#34
Ordered the king size. Fingers crossed everything ok, so sick of my uncomfortable mattress!
#35
I've just ordered a single. Need one for the spare room. Even if it's not great quality, it'll be fine for occasional use, especially at that price.
#36
Seems a cracking deal - was looking at the Airsprung earlier but decided it looked too cheap. This one looks much better.

I just hope it goes through - I've ordered the King Size with 4 drawers.

So it was an £800 bed but then it's half price to £400, then it's half price again to £200, then I get 5410 tesco points which is a voucher for £54.10. Which makes the bed £145.90!

Or if I can find something worthwhile to use the vouchers on - then they are worth 3 times as much (£162.30) - which would in effect make the bed cost £37.70!

Oh then there is 3% quidco too on some part of it!

I think u might end up with a free bed then after quidco
#38
I hope they honour the order (can't see why not really). We've needed a new bed for a while now and couldn't afford it, am so pleased with the price, especially with the 5000 points too!! Thank you loads OP :D x x x x
#39
wow this looks really good do you think this mattress will be more comfortable than one with a memory foam top layer? is it a soft or firm mattress? really tempted for the king one as currently my base is knacked.
#40
massive spot, thanks OP. just ordered the King 4 drawer. and got my confirmation, lets hope it comes 8)
