It's 2151 and the British have launched a fleet of space ships to explore the galaxy in the only way the British can... with a stiff upper lip and regular tea breaks. Their mission? To export all things British to all corners of the galaxy - namely overpriced supermarkets, housing estates, call centres and even tractors - and protect Britain's interest in a changing galaxy.

At the forefront of this expeditionary force is the HMS Camden Lock, helmed by the irrepressible, if a little tetchy, Commander Henderson (Nick Frost). Ably assisted by a crew of misfits, the Commander steers his ship through the stars, giving orders from his big swivelly chair.

Henderson is often more concerned with securing his place in British history than just doing his job. His crew? Borderline psychopath First Officer York (Kevin Eldon), sycophantic Diplomatic Officer Teal (Miranda Hart), manic depressive Navigator Vine (Stephen Evans), loose cannon Technical Officer Jeffers (Dan Antopolski) and enhanced human Sandstrom (Petra Massey). Experience the highs, the lows, the anti-gravity failures, the annoying talking mops and, of course, the wars with alien races... always in national interest of course. Features the complete first and second series.

2 series and ive never heard of it?
Odd series - wanted to be the next red dwarf but just wasn't quite funny enough. Worth watching though. Voted hot as a bargain for two TV series.
I love my comedy and I enjoyed both series of Hyperdrive.
Don't let the hardened Red Dwarf fans put you off as many compare the two shows.
Well worth £9 for both series.
Have some heat and rep for a good find.

Don't bother, it's about as funny as genocide.
Big Yellow Fannysplash - I thought it was pretty OK! (Though I'll admit nowhere near as good as Red Dwarf)
Somewhat below a very, very low average. In a parallel and horribly dysfunctional universe it may just give Titty-bang-bang a run for its money. Not the BBC Comedy Commissioning editor's finest hour...
I really really wanted to like this, but it just wasn't funny at all. Wasn't bad as such, just a bit...well...dull.

100% agree. Was trying to put it into words and i think YOU nailed it! :whistling:
Not bad but I wouldn't even bother making a comparison with Red Dwarf. -- Too insulting.
Oh now I'll have to see how bad it really is :whistling:
I thought this series was pretty darned good actually. Nick Frost is on top form and it's worth watching for him alone. Recommended !!
I liked it  Voted hot
not gonna vote because its a hot price, but the series for me was utter parp. i bought this a while back 2nd hand for £6 and i didnt rate it, i gave it 2 or 3 episodes but it was plain dull and not funny. luckily CEX gave me more than i paid for it so no harm done.

Don't sit on the fence.
