Nice find!

In terms of value for money which would you rate higher,

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5362231.htm available for £750 in a local store or the one from PC World.

I know that one's HD ready and the other isn't

thanks!
#6
iv been told to get an LCD rather than a plasma though, longer lasting
#7
If you really can get the Hitachi for £750 then no contest - it is HD ready, has built in FreeView and the resolution at 1024x1024 is much better than the Hyundai which I believe is only 852x480 (according to Kelkoo).

The Hyundai is old technology.

I personally dont see the point of getting a screen that size that isnt even HD ready.

i dont see the point in getting a HD television until HD freeview is about, and HD dvd is popular, that'll be 4 or 5 years... and who keeps a tv for longer than that :p
#22
But Xbox 360 looks amazing on a HD TV

Could be wrong but i don`t think freeview will ever be HD. Not enough bandwidth I was told
The only way to get HD will be through dvd, game consoles or Sky

Freeview HD is on a limited trial in London. Will start to roll out as analogue switched off.

Anyway a lot of sreen for the money, I think HD prices though are really coming down so it shouldn't be too long - January?, before 40-42" HD is available at the same price level.

First Post!

Currys are also selling this TV for £248

EDIT: sorry, ignore this. Its never in stock so irrelevant!

£499 is a good price but I'd prefer a HD LCD. Noticed in Argos today they had the following 32" HD tv's on offer for £499:

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5291924.htm

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5361751.htm

which aint a bad price by my reckoning!
