watch for scan update to today only prices as well. haven't done that for tioday yet, but they often have decent reductions on monitors - and stock this model I think - will check now

EDIT: currently have 2 Hyundai 22" models but both above £150 - this one £157 at the moment http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=650287 but still might follow ebuyer and reduce today or next week though on today only link . They had the 19" Hyundai on significant saving last week

just sent them an email telling them of the ebuyer deal and asking them to beat it!

Thats an analogue only model though, the ebuyer one has dvi+analogue. Worth noting ebuyer price will likely go up again on monday (if they don't sell out, but I reckon they will - currently 42 in stock). I think we shall see a lot more 22" DVI panels for under £150 in the next few months...

decent spec, but a bit behind the leaders in response time and contrast ratio. agreed that it's good spec for that price, tho. voted warm :)

Grrr...just ordered the Video7 and now I'm not sure which is better.

The video7 has 5 star reviews and this has none that I can find (in English).

*annoyed*

Response time is a really bad metric to rate any monitor by, it essentially means nothing; manufacturers quote the optimal grey-to-grey time and never the worst case time which is a far more important detail. Remember the refresh rate is usually 60Hz (16.6ms) so the advantage of a 2ms over a 5ms over a 10ms panel would be negligible if this was the true refresh rate; in reality most panels have a worst-case refresh of 20ms-50ms but this information isn't reported by the manufacturers and only third-party reviews.

Ordered... Stock numbers went down to 17 and then up to 40, and then 50, so they presumable have a large load of stock coming in, hense the reduced price. Absolute bargain though!!!!! Been looking for days and finally this came up.

Does anyone know if a dvi cable is likely to come with this? Been using vga upto now but want to make the switch. Cheapest one on ebuyer is a tenner!

Don't mean to sound like a noob, but can I connect this to my 360? Would I be able to achieve HD output?
Thanks
#11
I take it no ebuyer codes floating about then?? :)

joeymcjoe there is probably a DVI adapter for the 360 however do not buy this just for the 360 as it is a 16:10 (unsupported) resolution so your games will be stretched or lettboxed (probably the first since this is a cheaper monitor)

Voted hot! Although always like to see a bit higher resolution on anything above a 19"
#13
I bought a Hyundai 19" model that looks exactly the same as this and I am very pleased with it, although that was nearly a year ago and I paid £150::cry:

Voted HOT

OK thanks for that Matt, I've just seen that there is a Xbox 360 VGA converter you can buy which allows you to run the 360 on a monitor with VGA input however the resolutions supported are limited :

i have the Hyundai N91 19inch widescreen - and its been absolutely awesome.

Don't be put off by the brand - these guys are good. Colours are amazing.
#17
shame they dont make a tv version of this, even with a slightly smaller screen or for a bit more money...
#18
Arrggh...now I'm completely lost. Anyone find a review of the Daewoo?
#19

The 360 has one or two VGA 16:10 output resolutions. Not sure if this helps but I currently run my acer1916WS (1440x900 i.e 16:10 panel) with my xbox 360 with 1280 x 768 resolution and it looks brilliant with all my games including Gears of War, bioshock.

Same here, I haven't regretted going for a dodgy car manufacturer. ;-)

My 19" didn't come with a DVI cable, only VGA so if you want one then double check before you buy.
#25
Damn it this is exactly what i want but in about a month, so hard not to buy it now.
#26
The Daewoo isn't HDCP but this one is, if you're interested in using it for your PS3 or for a 360 with HD-drive
#27
damn it I couldn't resist.

yeah thats why i went with this one.

What's their dead pixel policy like? I always get 1 or 2 dead pixels on my monitors. I'm really unlucky and so far in my experience only Amazon will swap out for 1 or 2 pixels so I've always had to go with them.
1 Like #30
If you are very careful opening the packaging and test straight away you should be able to return the monitor under DSR if you spot a dead-pixel or are unhappy with the quality; just make sure you keep it in brand-new condition (check before attaching the stand etc.) You'll pay the return postage but this is cheaper than the '0-dead-pixel-checks' offered by the likes of aria.

Just to say that we now have three good reviews / recommendations from HUKD members who have bought the other 22" deal on at the moment (Daewoo, Samsung A panel). See this thread for details:

Double balls!!

Would anyone know the external dimensions of this??

Doofus me. I've already ordered but...I've only just realised that i have a maximum width of 21"......(bearing in mind 22" is the diameter) to put this into.....its one of those Ikea PC desks with a little gap in it for the monitor!!

Or would this work with my NTL box as a tv????

Edit: Apparently the width is 22.5", at least according to this full spec: http://reviews.cnet.com/lcd-monitors/hyundai-n220w-flat-panel/4507-3174_7-32435521.html?tag=nav
