so annoying after all these year Customs limits is still £18! don't they know there is inflation in the real world? prices go up after all these year?!

I know the actual item price is only £16.68 (if I pay using uk currency), but does anybody know whether HMRC calculate charges using the total price i.e.£16.68+£4.32 = £21? if they do then highly likely VAT charges + RM handling fees.

I imported the special edition Wizard of Oz blu-ray from amazon.com which came to somewhere over £30 and didn't suffer any import charges

It is a gamble, but with a rare item like this, might be worth it!

No import duty on this, thats why I have been waiting so long for it to drop below $28,this
means its under the £18 threshold so there will be no duty to pay.All you have to worry
about is the price before shipping is added. In this case $24.99 so well below $28 so its
safe.I personally would not chance anything on or about $28 (£17.90)The shipping $6.48(£4.32)
does not count as reguards the final total for duty.If you were to buy something for example
$30(£19.20) thats over £18 so you would be liable for duty and thats when the shipping eg:$6.48(£4.32)comes into the equation as if the cost of the item is over $28(£18 approx)the shipping
is then added to the first figure and you would pay duty on the overall price including shipping. So
just keep your item price below $28(£18) and you will not pay duty.:)

For an alternative ending for a movie watch Sailor of the King starring the original Captain Kirk - Pike.

Two endings, one after the other.

I am Legend has the same two endings - which is best, you decide

They charge VAT on the whole amount but it's the Post Office handling charge that does the real damage. Sorry cold from me as the price could be a lot higher.

This does say in the amazon info that it is region 1 only.
#13
Just done some research, £8 handling charge on top of VAT

They say that for most of their listings. It is Region Free though. http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/I-Am-Legend-Blu-ray/1272/

Which you are only charged if the total of the goods is above £18 which it is not!

VAT is only added to the total amount inc p&p if the goods are over £18. The royal mail charged is also only added if the value of the goods if over £18 as the fee is technically for chasing you for the VAT!

That's because the book is awesome, much more thought-provoking than the film. Films not bad though.

Great find!8)

Ordered and hopping not to be charged Royal Mail admin fee again?

Don't have a problem with the VAT fee. It's the Royal Mail admin fee I hate, £8.00 for a sticker and week longer to delivery!

No, in my experience they do charge it on P+P. When I bought some products from the USA, at the cost of about $100, plus $18 shipping, I ended up getting charged about £34 tax (lets say approx $50 tax). This is because customs estimated postage themselves (freight charge?) and estimated it to about $100USD instead. So instead they valued my import has $218, costing me a bomb.

I was told I could do nothing about it, as on the front they declared the value of the items (like I would normally do) excluding p+p, but inside was an invoice with it all down. I ended up giving up after a few hours of looking around, and contacting various departments fobbing me off.

This had potential to be such a great movie. I had initially been very concerned about Will Smith having the lead role but he actually managed to surprise me and played his part well. Unfortunately it was the truly terrible CGI which totally killed this movie for me.

Film title does not make sense after you have read the book.

It is more purposeful for the book, because of the main character and his antagonists. It does not fit the film quite as well, due to the screenplay veering far from the book and changing the nature of the antagonists.

Looking at the youtube video this looks a lot bigger than the Nine boxset. This boxset has both
versions of the film on separate discs instead of seamless branching,no idea if that will make
any difference to the transfer as it looks great in HD anyway.Link to a more detailed review listing
how it differs to the single disc Blu Ray.

That means very little - according to IMDB Inception is the 4th greatest movie of all time.

Does any film ?

If your happy with just the film, then fine. Some people like collecting memorabilia and stuff from their fav films and not to mention things like different endings, and extra's that they wouldnt have seen until now.
