Answers

1. Can you find it more expensive somewhere else? or provide a RRP for this product to show it is cheaper, and therefore a DEAL?
2. Pretty much shows you posted this item because you hate Ikea, and not for a deal purpose

Interesting !!

Wrong...

1) I simply entered this deal in the same spirit as others have entered melons and various wierd sex toys. I don't see you slamming these as not being deals. - They're posted for people's fun and I haven't a clue if anyone wiill buy those items or this crud item.

2) We have over 20, yes twenty, Billy bookcases and they're absolutley great. So I personally like them. I agree and confir that every time I've been in cajoaled in there, the experience has been pretty dire (see other's comments above). So wearing some appropriate thongs before we go down to IKEA might make the old girll laugh!

Incidently, are you saying that HUKD should not list a product from one supplier - Then its goodbye own-brands from Marks and Spencers, PC World and, off course, IKEA.

Finally, If you really see HUKD solely for scientific deal comparisons alone... Or do you work for IKEA perhaps (although you're response times and communication skills are too good - Either way... Sad!!!!

Not a hot deal by any means and using HUKD to make statements against popular companies is lame.

i actually work at IKEA Southampton and as such i know how an IKEA store should work.
-The lack of staff: generally there is about 2-4 people on each department in the showrooms, with more on during busy times. in the markethall there are normally about the same during the daytime and in the evenings possibly only 1. that is depending on how much work there is to be done in the department and the size of the department. the self serve department usually has about 6 co-workers on hand to help customers at all times. the checkouts is where we get most complaints, the day starts with 3 coworkers with more coming in every hour till 1pm when those who were in when the shop opened start to go home, after 5:30 there are very rarely more that 4 coworkers on the department, this is because the store is usually at its quietest point and as such doesn't warrant more co-workers than that. the queues only start to pick up after the 8:30 announcement that the store is closing, so the best idea is to probably get your shopping done before that if you don't want to queue. now i appreciate that this wont be the same for every IKEA store in the uk, but thats the way it works in IKEA Southampton.

Charge for credit cards.
As of september 1st 2010 there are no longer charges on credit cards.
#17
migraines from the smell of glue.
most ikea products are self assembly, like for instance the Billy bookcases, the come in a box and are put together using the screws provided. very few ikea products have any glue used on them.
if you get a migraine from the smell of glue in any future visits to any IKEA store, please inform a member of staff, as that smell should not be there.

misfitting parts.
if you have the unfortunate luck of purchasing an IKEA product that has a misfitting part then either phone the store, the phone number is on the top of every receipt, or take the item back to the store, to the customer returns desk, tell them the problem and they will rectify it for you.
#19
the trolleys soldered together.
ikea Southampton doesn't have this problem, so i didnt know about it, However after doing a google, i found that the price for an average shopping trolley is £100, i can see why they have been soldered. if the fact that the trolley has been soldered bothers you, either use one that hasn't been soldered or speak to a member of staff.

The strange items the wife buys that never gets used again
i admit there are some strange items for sale in IKEA, however they are only for sale because there is a market for it, which your wife is obviously a part of. no sane retailer is going to discontinue a product that sells.

the confidence that the doors will never close properly.
i have already covered this under misfitting parts.
