The price, obviously, varies depending on the size of the bag and type of food.

Regardless i used to use IAMS for Cats, but £16 for 3KG???? even BOGOFF £8 a bag... Whiskas £3.50 3KG when on special offer, or normal £4.47

So you find cruelty to animals amusing? No wonder you are still buying Iams...

Never used them but the website looks very one sided. Had a quick read on 'why iams?' and it seems a company did some work for them, who were fined, they stopped using them. Gave some money to a university who used it to experiment on mice. Did they know? Apparently still have their own laboratories but wont let peta have a look around, which you'd expect considering they run a campaign against them, and some of their bad press in the past.

and is that such a bad thing?

personally, I go for ROYAL CANIN which is a far better product and still as cheap when you grab the 8kg x 2 bags when on offer at pet supermarket and their ilk

dont think my cat will care, he loves iams

Personally, I don't buy my cats anything with states "EC Permitted.." this or that in the ingredients - it basically means it's full of crap which roughly equates to a human living on junk food.

Co-op do some good "free-from" wet food and for dry food, James Well Beloved is very good.

I always used to feed my cat Wiskas - she screamed for food no matter how much we gave her - to the point where she was becoming overweight. Within two weeks of feeding her James Well Beloved, she became a much nicer cat to be around and stopped screaming for food constantly.
