Lots of products listed on HotDeals and other deal sites are more than likely made in sweat shops in places like China and India, so what do we do boycot everything just in case!

Everybody's looking to make their money go further, should this be at the expence of animals and cheap labour, the answer is no, but some people have very little choice.

Do I give a monkeys uncle of your own opinion? No, I am clearly just stating my own.....regardless of people looking to make money go further, as a matter of principle I am making people aware of the dangers of IAMS....whether you like it or not, people still have freedom of choice to buy or not, thing is most animal lovers wouldn't buy IAMS once they know they test on animals, and thats a different story than sweat shops, as animals have DIED for the name of research into their so called pet food.

I really don't give a rats ass on your opinion either, I was just stating the facts, people are here to find a bargin and not get in to issues of animal testing.

People are here to choose and as you say freedom of speech, but you're pushing your beliefs and opinion on other people.

Go somewhere else and do it, not on hotdeals.

No I am not, how can posting a link out of principle be pushing beliefs onto others, its there for reading for those that want to. You're the one that criticised me just by posting these few words "Out of principle I am voting this cold http://www.iamscruelty.com" that is NOT pushing my beliefs and opinions onto others, get your own FACTS straight before criticising a member on HUKD that has far more reputation than yourself.

Just watched the video on the cruelty site, it is fine. The dogs all look chilled and well fed on Iams, they do need to test products before release so no harm comes to the thousands of dogs and cats in population.

In some country's they eat dogs, a animal is a animal, I killed a fly today, I kill fleas on my cats, I accidently killed a pigeon driving the other week.

There are more things to worry about than the odd animal dying.

Get over it...

Thanks for posting the iams cruelty info, I had no idea. I watched the whole video and was disgusted. Whilst there is a reason to test animal products, there is no need to treat them this way. Revolting. ...and they are supposed to be caring for our pets? Iams boycott from me till they stop this practice.

erm, nice attitude. "dogs all look fine and chilled"... I guess you're not a dog owner then, or didn't watch more than a few seconds of the 5 minute video. Traumatised would be a better word, some didn't look like they could walk anymore, did you see the floors of the cages they were in? easy to stand on right? Embarrassed for you.

What you buy is always more than the product itself, what you tolerate says what you are. Somethings are very complicated to fix, some very simple. Need to do this to these animals = zero. Just test food on happier pets, with freedom to roam etc.

Thanks again to OP for highlighting this.

Haha, reputation has nothing to do with it, get over it dude :p

The cruelty isn't as important as the outrageous prices Iams seem to want for the food in the first place. An animal will eat out of a bin bag (mine do all the time) even if there is nice food in their bowl.

isn't this the product that the RSPCA supported at first but then carried out an investigation and withdrew thier support?

We are supposed to rate the deal, NOT the company themselves.

Please rate accordingly not spam with this sort of rubbish.

Rubbish, Spam, not even slightly! ... People here talk about the products as much as the price, just because cruelty may not be an issue to you in what you buy certainly doesn't mean that it isn't an important factor in what a product is about for others. Organic, cruelty free, fair trade, free range, guarantees, reliability, after care, recyclability, environmental impact.. these factors define products and their pricing nowadays, and who we choose to get our hard-earned shapes the market. where have you been for the past decade or so?

Ignorance is no excuse anymore...

I have chose to rate the deal how I felt fit, cold. Regardless of how cheap it is, I personally wouldn't fund Iams and have posted a link so others should they wish can see exactly what sort of testings proctor & gamble have done,

It just strange that people seem to be making more of a stink of me posting a link to a website than actually preaching on here!
