2010 is the 10th Anniversary of Ian Dury's passing and in what will be a big year for his music, a soundtrack for a generation of a certain age(!), the year begins with the release of this essential collection of his best known and biggest recordings.
This new collection features 20 recordings, including "What A Waste", "Reasons To Be Cheerful (Part 3)", "I Want To Be Straight", as well as the No. 1 "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick" and the title track to the forthcoming film "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll"...the album also features extended versions of `Reasons To Be Cheerful (Part 3) and a hard to find `Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick'.
Ian Dury was a fascinating character and a unique Artist who gave the English language modern-day clich?in the
aptly named album title `Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll' and `Reasons To Be Cheerful'. His fans include Sir Paul McCartney, Madness and Robbie Williams.
Now the subject of the critically acclaimed biopic `Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll' starring Andy Serkis as Ian Dury, the film focuses on his personal relationships during his rise to fame, as well as how he dealt with and overcame his disability.
It is hard to believe that it is ten years since Ian Dury passed-away but this new collection serves as a timely reminder as to how great his songs were and how the recordings have stood the test of time.... 30 years on!

Great stuff, and if this is your first listen to the great man your second should be "New Boots and Panties" - absolutely superb.

Oh, I have - many times! I would say it was more 'Clever Trever' too, but they have still mis-spelt it.

No "they" didn't get it wrong.
Clevor Trever is the correct way to spell the track title. It was spelt that way by whoever gave it the original title.
I guess either the record company or maybe Ian Dury himself.
