120 Watt = big and hot. mOst laptop adaptors are 60W - 90W

specified rating is the maximum continuous power the unit can provide. actual power consumption at any one time will depend on the laptop's requirements, and certainly not be a continuous 120W.
heat generated is exclusively relative to the efficiency of the voltage conversion design.
size of the unit unstated, but again relative to the designer's skill in efficient (space) design.
you could even argue that a slighly larger footprint gives better heat dissipation, and per square unit area would be lower temp than a similarly specified physically smaller unit.

I would live with (any) size compromise based on a higher power rating suggests that the adaptor would be less stressed and so in theory last longer than a lesser power unit.

Superb price, but still waiting for the free delivery instructions. Anyone?

Anyone know if these work with T40 and T43 laptops?

Or buy an invertor the next time they are on special in Maplin - and dont use batteries in the car either.

hmmm... I recognize these power adapters... not for IBM/Lenovo laptops!
(except the Thinkpad G40, but that was hardly a laptop, but a compact desktop replacement system with a powerful power-hungry desktop processor)

they are big and heavy, and don't have a T20-T30-T40-T60 power connector:

these can only be used with mini docks (docking stations) and have a different connector (yellow with multiple pins, unlike black or grey connectors), for the older thinkpads, not the latest models with the grey power connector

Cheers, thanks for info!
