Actually - these are refurbs - the deal sucks.

Why do people not state it's a refurb in the title?

This is a public forum. If *a deal* is rubbish, people are allowed to comment (& i'm not saying this deal is "rubbish"). People post to this forum, knowing the deal will be dissected.

yeah but if a deal is that rubbish why waste time harping on about it, find deals that arent. If i spent my life slagging deals i thought were lame deals were i'd still be on last month lol

Looks a good deal to me, got some of these IBM P4 systems at work and everyone seems quite impressed with them - bulid quality solid and the components seem good quality. Apart from anything you get XP Pro whereas most systems anywhere near this price come with no OS or a Linux distro.

Stick this piece of software on the PC, and you can have a very good Media Center at a good price.

I could care less if the deal is good or not, the issue here is that people are posting refurbs and not making that clear.

personally I think there should be a separate forum for second hand goods to avoid confusion

lets not mislead people, even with the caveat of 'at a good price' there's no way this is a very good media center ... or even a good one... next to no ram , next to no HDD, no graphics worth anything, not even a DVD player.... apart from churning out a few MP3s this will struggle with most media based tasks... any containning video etc

I bought some refurb printers from them, they were terrible, most of them were total junk and cost a lot to ship them back! They didnt even clean/test them. Just box used printer and sell them as refurbs. Horrible!
