I was in store today when I came across the following all for only 75p each!

4 Birds Eye Cod Cakes
4 Bernard Matthews Turkey Burgers
575g Family Favourites Fish Fingers & Chips Meal for 2
575g Family Favourites Sausage & Chips Meal for 2
478g Mr Brain's Pork Faggots
10 Birds Eye Value Fish Fingers
230g Chicago Town Cheese Pizza
340g Young's Admiral's Pie
340g Young's Low Fat Ocean Crumble
6 Nestle Indiana Jones Lollies

Most of these offers are listed at the link, but there were more instore, I've added what I could remember. There was plenty of stock in the Headington Oxford Store. Good for us students, or families working on a budget. Also worth noting is that they were offering twin packs of McVities Jaffa cakes for 64p as well.

They're not bad actually. From wiki "The best-known commercial brand is Mr Brain's Faggots, a frozen food product available in Britain, which is made of liver and onions rolled into meatballs and served in a sauce. These faggots differ significantly from the traditional recipe."

I dont really like them and they taste salty. There is hardly any meat in them either. Not bad for 75p though.

The fishfingers and cakes arent bad.

Obviously they saw the low fat Ocean crumble and went "Well, that's ok then!" The Young's ready meals are definitely worth the money, they're quite tasty.

I used to be veggie years ago. But I've always thought faggots ROCK!

Voted hot as a steaming faggot.

Hot deal, (although I refuse to buy anything from them until I receive a written contract saying Kerry Katona will not receive any of the money I spend (or appear again on television (or her head falls off))).
#23
personally i would not eat any of that food because i have tried the items and not liked them or it just is plain unhealthy and not for me. however i will still vote hot because it is a good deal for stuff that people do like and enjoy. i know with the credit crunch that people are looking for cheaper foods that they can eat occasionally and i think mixing these with other more healthier foods is a good way of saving cash. anything in moderation is ok, even stuff people claim is very unhealthy.

It was even worse years ago, when they were just called Brain's faggots. They had to change the name during the BSE scare in case people though they were made from animal brains.

There's nothing like coming home to a good faggot. If I'm lucky he's prepared dinner, opened the wine to breathe and I'm not allowed to tell you what happens later...

This is a strange request but can anyone recommend any good fishcakes,i used to love them but these days they are made of mush, does anyone know what i mean..lol

When they are cooked the filling always seems to be of a sloppy consistency, not like they used to be.

M&S Are expensive, but their fishcakes are good. The Grimsby ones from Youngs aren't half bad either.
