Are you sure the rate will be better at 9:30? As the promo banner is allready on the site and the rate looks average?
    Cheers

The order is processed through your credit card as a cash advance so will be charged a fee, maybe around 2.5% for that. Shame, home delivery would have been good...will have to ask my son to pick up the rest of our dollars at ICE in Waterloo. Their dollar rate is $1.60 at the moment though.

The Banner is for the taste card which has been available for a few weeks - if you check out the moneysavingexpert link above it tell you about the sale starting at 0930hrs (Top right hand corner of the page) - The rates will get better at 0930hrs.

Even the rate at the moment is the best on the market based on £500 delivered 1.2035 to the pound

ICICI use ICE currency who are regularly the best prices on moneysavingexpert for collection in london currently 1.22 euros to the pound. I wouldnt be surprised to see a rate nearer to that.

We've been looking for this rate for the past couple of days. The Post Office were looking at $1.5617 & Thomas Cook $1.564 (both with no commission - which I think is becoming standard for most places, but please feel free to correct me anyone?) I've just logged on to the ICE webpage and clicked "compare". Their rate is currently $1.5855. Should we hold out for a better rate? (We don't need them until August) and what about the "pre-load a travel card" (I think I need to read up some more...) (_;)

Not bothered about the taste card - rate is good - but will probably go with the Post Office or Travelex

    Travelex - 1193.00
    Post Office 1192.00

hmmm a bit suspicious - the rate dropped at 0915 from 1.2035 to 1.1984 - If it now goes back to 1.2035 in the sale I will be cross.

Well I cant believe that before the sale it was 1.2035 to the £ now its gone down to a sale rate of 1.198

I SHALL BE COMPLAINING....... WHAT A RIP OFF!

Shocking - what a total con!

Ugh, tell me about it. I was trying to decide for ages yesterday where to get my travel money from, not being aware of the tastecard offer. I too checked the rate last night...should have known it would drop in their sale, they always do. Interestingly, at about 9:20 the rate was about 1.192, and then randomly went up to 1.198.

So devious, I've emailed to let them know exactly what I think of them.

I think market moved down. Check http://www.travelmoneymax.com

If you look at xe.com you can see there has been a decline, but nowhere else has reacted so quickly to the shift, and not when they've marketed a sale.

Hi Guys and Gals - the other thing that you NEED to do is vary the number of Euro or Dollars or whatever you are thinking about buying as the best value company changes - not often by a lot but some surprising variations do appear.

For example, try putting 500 Euro into the MoneyMax site for delivery and then 600 Euro and ICICI move from best to third place. Not so relevant if you actually want the Taste Card. ;)

I use them constantly, the service is very good and the rate is even better today. Looking forward to visit Budapest :p
