don't like the idea of not having a caddy or something to cover up the circuits exposed on the underneath of the hard disk. touch something metal with these whilst lying on the desk etc and you have a duff hard disk. there are IDE/SATA HDD enclosures out there for similar price to this.

there are ok devises, ideal for quickly checking a drive's content, but £25 is way to much,

I think this kind of product is more for things like disaster recovery...i.e. not really supposed to be used for every day use.

I bought one of these off Ebay for £4.
Great tool! I use it as an external hard drive that lyes on my desk.
stores all my media (movies etc) so i can plug into my 360 :)

good product, shame about the price.

Yeah I got one with a caddy for about a fiver from eBay new, and they're not much more if you buy them from other online retailers I can't imagine.

Don't get put off posting again mate, just have a look around on things like Google Shopping to see what the price would be.
