How long is this experience for a day or half day?
#2
Each to their own, I guess but I was given a similar thing for my Birthday and I could not have imagined a worse pressy to receive.

If I want to do something like this I will and when it suits me, timewise.

OK if you live within 25-30 miles of the venue perhaps.

hahahaha...have to laugh when they describe it as a "driving DAY".....you are at the place literally no more than 30 minutes!!!!...short day that
#4
Duration:
Paintball: 8 hours. Supercar Blast: Please allow approximately 2 hours at the venue.

down to only £59 on the tellallmyfriends website, [ultimate surprise box for him] in case you miss out on the extra saving above.
and the paintball costs the other (up to) 9 people £6.99 each for paintballs [charged as a non attendance fee, and swapped for balls when they arrive]

Regardless..it's still cheap even for that short time + you get a paintball day thrown in.

My only gripe about these days is when I've done them before the cars have been performance limited.

Cold as cold can be:

A drive in one of the worlds best supercars, including Aston Martin and Lamborghini Gallardo
Probably five minutes driving one of these, performance limited and instructors not letting you open up what the car is actually about. Probably £50 value if you're really interested in actually doing this (don't know why you would though)

Paintball Experience for up to 10 people, with equipment
Rubbish. They give this away free, as they make their money on selling you the painballs. £0 value

£10 Gift Card to Spend at Tellallmyfriends or give to someone special as a gift
Rubbish. Not worth the paper its printed on

Up to £100 off ‘Life Time Discount Card’ worth £9.99
Rubbish. Not worth the paper its printed on either

Presented in a luxurious gift box set
Wow. A box. GG. £0 value.

So basically, its just the usual driving 'thrill' day as the usual price, with a load of free crap thrown in to make it look like you're getting a better deal than you actually are.

Not my cuppa - I won one at work last year and sold it on Ebay for ~£90 so this is a good price.

While i agree with most of what youve said, i have to disagree about what you said about the driving part. If youve always wanted to get behind the wheel of a supercar then you have 3 choices....1) Buy the supercar (most people dont have a spare £100k though)...2)hire one for the day (probably £1000) or 3) do one of these supercar days for £50+

Yeah, its not going to be the same experience as owning one but if its something youve always wanted to try then, although its only 3 laps, then it fulfills your desire.

People say "oh but you cant drive it to its limit".......unless you are a race driver or have had extensive experience in driving supercars, theres no way on earth you could (or even should) be driving a lethal weapon lik e a sports car flat out when you dont know its capabilities....and secondly, the course is disigned and coned off so theres actually no way on earth youd be able to test the car to its limits anyway. On my driving day (20 mins!!) i drove a Ferrari 355 and Lamo Galliardo and it wasnt till the last lap in both that i felt comfortable enough to really put my foot down.....contrary to what others may say, my instructor actually encouraged me to test it to its limits (within reason and within the capabilities of the small track) - i cannot comment on all centres though, but the one i went to was just outside Stratford Upon Avon.

If you want a proper 'driving' day then a Rally day would suit you better

I've done something like this but only the driving part where I drove a Ferrari 360 and a Mitsubishi Evo 7. The instructor in the Ferrari wouldn't let me rev it so could barely hear the engine, frowned on any downshifting (as it was a semi auto with paddles) and generally didn't let me drive it normally let alone in a spirited fashion.

The Evo 7 instructor was completely different. He said second gear wasn't gear so floor it in first and then move to third. He was egging me on to build up speed as the drive went on. Now that was fun and how I would have expected to have driven the Ferrari!

I've since done two days at Palmersport in Bedfordshire and those are excellent - all the instructors push you hard there and you're really encouraged to push the cars to their limit. Expensive but well worth the money!

My OH did one of these last week in loughborough with this company every man racing and he loved every minute. He did 4 laps in a Audi and the contiditions were very wet, but the instructor was encouraging saying he had the best car for that weather and even though the conditions were bad he got up to 90 mph and was over taking other cars on the track. He also paid extra when he was there to go round with a racing car driver in a thing called a Atom that was like a buggy racing car, did 3 laps in that for £25 and they went up to 130mph in those conditions!

I have done this and its great fun. expensive but as stated before I could not afford to buy one. I dont know why people are saying cold. its cheaper than most and if you dont want the rest of the stuff then dont do it. My instructor also encouraged me to drive as fast as I could. got up to 140 on the straight.

I think this is a great deal - have ordered one for a christmas present!

I had a go in an Audi R8 for what was probably less than 10 minutes but it was amazing and would definately pay alot more, the experience was amazing!

Voted hot from me! x

Just did an everymanracing day with an R8 and Ferrari 360. I'm afraid if you already know how to drive fast then you'll be very disappointed. Not allowed out of 4th gear in the R8 which is ridiculous, with very poor instruction. If you drive a basic car then this may be good but if you can actually corner already then forget it and go on a proper track day.
