They are positive about it, other than the somewhat average battery life and some buzz over the headphone socket. Looking forward to receiving mine!

An Antutu score of 51000 for a £80 tablet with a retina screen sounds like pretty good value to me :)

I'm using a Chuwi VI10 Plus for daily use, but this looks too good to pass up ;)

While it may be good on paper, doesn't mean it will perform decently.

is anyone going for this? seriously tempted

Does this have much of a following on xda etc Sometimes these tablets have issues and you can't rely on the manufacturer to fix them

Not yet, as I think it's a relatively new model. That said, there's a firmware update out already to fix a couple of things (screen brightness, camera crashing). In all honesty, I wouldn't trust a manufacturer to support a tablet at this price for too long (or at all for some Chinese manufacturers). I'm not hearing of many issues with the OS though (which is near stock, apparently).

is it worth asking for the unit to be sealed? i.e unopened

gone for it, thanks OP

Worth a punt as it's so cheap, but that RK3288 chip is from 2014 so not expecting great things.

Coupon code FNFGB takes it down to £76.15
As this coupon replaces the flash sale discount, rather than stacking with it, there shouldn't be a need to rush buy at this price.

Warning from me about Gearbest. I bought a Original Xiaomi Mi Band 2 Heart Rate Monitor Smart Wristband from them. The heartrate monitor part stopped working about two months later. Their response was
We have 45 days money back guarantee.
Your item is more than 45 days.
Hope this is clear for you.
Avoid at all costs IMHO

Would this be good for emulators? I'm after something for my dad to take to work with him and play in his downtime. Grab a Bluetooth game pad and give him something to do
#34
FNFGB seems to have expired when I tried it @ 17:05 (or doesn't) work for me anyway..
Thanks for posting OP.

Still sitting at 'Processing', anybody's shipped yet?

Agreed remove the code bit, it has expired. But £88 is still a great deal.

Arbk66 - they have something like 2 or 3 week dispatch time. It says when u ordered 10-15 days or more dependant on shipping method.

hmmm two days later and my order is still at 'processing'

paid via paypal, and money has defiantly gone through. ive bought a ludicrous amount of stuff from gearbest/banggood. only ever had one problem, an xiaomi bluetooth speaker that I recieved, was of 'questionable' quality. im not convinced it was genuine, the numerous xiaomi headphones and power banks and other stuff ive had have been superb quality, but the speaker I got was not of that ilk. :/

Contacted them shortly after purchase and they originally said the product page indicated:

Dispatch: Ships between Mar 18 - Mar 19

But that has now changed to:

Dispatch: Ships between Mar 20 - Apr 1

I'm hoping that's only for newer orders, waiting till tomorrow before I open my ticket again and ask what's going on. I even paid for faster shipping.
