it was Mymemory, hadn't noticed this deal was Play but it's the same offer including delivery. You're right it says available from 10/3 on Play so get it here instead anyone who wants to order one now.....

http://www.mymemory.co.uk/memory/iGo/Stowaway/Ultra-Slim/Bluetooth/Keyboard

Order quick they seem to keep this price for a week or so then it goes back up to £26.99 again.

EDIT : sorry I'd forgot MyMem charge the £3.95 postage, so price would be £21.94 if you don't wait for the Play one to come in stock.

Does this come with a dongle, or does it just sync with the PS3, via bluetooth

just bluetooth.

comes with a driver, install and set up the driver once then after you open the keyboard and hit any key when you want to use.

Worth checking the Igo website for compatible drivers for your device though. For example the N95 is not listed but the N73 driver is the one to use. I will post a link later if it helps anyone.

EDIT : well that's for mobiles, not sure how the driver works on the PS3

don't know, don't have one. The drivers available are only for mobiles + PDAs, an earlier poster did say it worked with the PS3 so I expect it just connects using something built into the PS3

list of drivers here for anyone who wants to check compatibility....

Thanks for the info. N95 & other Nokia users might also find Nokia's PC Phone software useful which lets you use your PC to manage SMS etc.

gforce67, the keyboard you linked to at mymemory says "not for use with blackberry". The play.com one says that it's compatible with the Blackberry 8100.

Are you sure they're the same ?

£21.94 when postage is added though?? I'll hold off for Play's with free delivery and Quidco! :D:D

To me they are exactly the same device, Igo only have one slimline bluetooth keyboard and if you look at both sites they have exactly the same image (if you look at the enlarged version)

So I don't know why there is the difference in product detail, anyone going for it for the Blackberry should maybe double check with Play or Igo. Perhaps check the list of drivers on the Igo site. I'll also check the Stowaway manual if I get a chance

Works brilliantly on my Nokia 770 internet tablet. Also fine on my N73 (even though I'm not sure when I'd ever use it for that!). Even tried it on my Mac fine.

Hot deal for a hot little device. I bought one a few weeks ago at this price - well worth it.

Can anyone please help?? I got one of these a few weeks ago and have JUST tried to get it working on my N95 (not 8gb). Installed the N73 driver on my phone (i think) and have now tried to sync the N95 and keyboard. When I go to sync it asks if i want to use Lifeblog or PC Suite...on each one it doesn't find the keyboard. Any advice greatly appreciated especially if it can be idiot proof !! Cheers.
#33
Can you use this with a laptop? So many keys have fallen off the laptop that this would come in really handy. thanks.
#34
Please don't all LOL. :oops:Would it work with the iphone? Just wondered if it would be a useful gift for someone I know thats just got an iphone? Any advise would be great!

I wouldnt be too sure as the iPhoney has a very secure firmware ... worth a try i guess.

Wonderful. I am getting one now - together with the metal London Underground map that I have been eyeing up for ages...

I'm not sure what way you are trying to sync the 2 but the basic recommendation I would give is don't use any of the built in Nokia applications to try to get the keyboard working, eg the Wireless Keyboard Wizard and don't pair the keyboard to the phone as you would normally for bluetooth, these make the Keyboard driver not function correctly.

If you have the driver installed then it appears in Applications as "Stwy", open the driver application and follow instrunctions, the manual available via the link below is good and much better than anything you get with the keyboard. summary....

One time only you need to do the following....
put the keyboard into discovery mode (can't remember the keystrokes for that)
run menu option "Enable BT"
when the keyboard is found you will be asked for 4 digit number
type any number into the phone
when it says it is trying to connect to the keybaord type the same number on the keyboard
keyboard should now connect.

That should be it, you should not need to 'discover' the keyboard again, it should wake up once openned and keys hit, you don't need to run anything on the phone again as the driver should then be setup.

Thanks gforce67, I checked the igo site, and it says it's compatible.

I'll order it from play.com. If it turns out it's not compatible with my Blackberry, then I should be able to return it - as play.com say it is compatible.
