you may find quite a few places selling this monitor for about £250 but most dont have any stock, from looking at monitors with Touchscreen (multi-touch) the Iiyama 22" T2250MTS-1 is the best price, other manufactures are currently selling for around £300. for anyone who doesn't know, Iiyama is NOT a no name brand, they are well know for making good monitors.

The ProLite T2250MTS 22" Touch Screen is an early adoptor of the new 'MultiTouch' Technology. Based on the latest Optical Dual Camera sensor, the T2250MTS is Windows 7 Certified and ready for the emerging business and consumer software packages. The panel, ofcourse features High Definition 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 5msec response time. Analogue and DVI inputs are available for flexible connectivity along with USB for the Touch Interface.

Highlights of the IIyama T2250MTS-1 22" monitor

also before anyone says, this is a TN, not IPS, If anyone is interested in an IPS panel with no touchscreen and no 1080p then have a look at this.

I would resize this if I know how to :) will update if I can find a smaller good quality picture.

Edit: couldn't find any good smaller pictures, well at least you can see the picture is defiantly for this model and what the 5 buttons do ;-)

Edit: on the bottom right you can pull out a stylus to use on the screen

Does anyone know if you need a special OS to use the touch screen facility, or does it just work with your normal windows? if it does this could be on the list :)

This just works with your normal windows, you may need to install a driver for the touchscreen panel, I think Windows 7 would have a default driver for this. :)

It looks like the touchscreen works with anything but multitouch works only with supported programs: http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/monitors/272602/exclusive-first-review-iiyama-t2250mts-windows-7-touchscreen

It's also a glossy screen.

As I pointed out the last time this was posted if you just want an unusual input device then there are far more precise and interesting alternatives than a touchscreen, and many of them cheaper than the £100 you're paying for the touch capabilities over a similar screen.

I’m interested in what sort of alternatives you have in mind!

same here, something to controller the mouse using you eyes would be wicked :p,(they had eye tracking to focus in the Canon EOS 5 back in the 90's, I think fighter pilots uses eye tracking it to lock on to enemy planes?)

A touchscreen isn't really meant for precision, if you want something precise with a display you will be looking at something like the Wacom Cintiq.

The touchscreen with multitouch is not so much something aimed at professional use (not that you cant but normally used with a big button interface alongside a machine) but more aimed at home use. you wouldn't need it to be more precise than it is, if it is mounted correctly and used in combination with your keyboard and mouse it would make doing things on the computer a little quicker and more fun, but it can never replace the keyboard and mouse. :p

TIP: be careful with ordering from dabs, they only send goods out in the makers box,
which often cannot take the battering it gets when sent via HDNL couriers.
It's then VERY difficult to get resolved.
