Isn't this like 1/9th the size of the full cake, and the full sells for £1.99?

That's kind of like saying "I'm not going to a restaurant, if I make it at home it'll only cost me half the price!"
Normally I'd agree, but sometimes when you're going on a trip and know that you'll be staying somewhere for quite a while, getting such a nice refreshment for only 0.50 is a bargain.

I think Morrisons and Tesco do it, I could be wrong but a friend of mine loves this and said they do it in these two supermarkets, think they may be in the frozen section? Can anyone confirm if this is true and if it is does it taste as good as the ikea one? Keep meaning to look for it when in Morrisons and always forget
#10
Ikea sell the whole cake too, its normally near the beer and food section and not in the cafe.
#11
Deals for this Daim/Almondy cake have been posted on hukd before. Tescos and morrisons sell it, as well as Ikea of course. I think this is the packaging for in the shops.

Quite nice these cakes are. You can't eat the whole cake in one go but I managed half of it in one sitting. Felt sick after wards though.
#17
It tastes like death IMO the swedes should stick to DIY furniture.

You do realise this is in their restaurant as opposed to buying the cake from tescos?

ikea or tesco iirc

I'll just take the authentic Swedish tart - they can stick the cake where the sun don't shine :) ---- that'll be up above the arctic circle in winter, I think!

You can buy a whole one in the food shop in ikea and then take it into the restaurant and eat it, they're not likely to notice you doing this let alone care if you do.

I'm going to try that in mcdonalds. Simply fry my own chips before i go there and cook a burger up. Then nip in and hope the staff dont notice.

Sainsburys also sells this. I buy it from there or Tesco when on offer for £2.00 for the whole cake. Ikea sells it for around £3.50! Also it's gluten free, so suitable for coeliacs.
#27
nearest Ikea to me is 50 miles away ...... oh what the heck, this is too good a bargain to miss - I'm off for a slice :whistling:
