Hello All

Just been into my local IKEA and seen this deal is back and has been on a while!

From the website

Eat in the IKEA restaurant between 28th March - 30th April 2011 and we will give you the same value off your store bill when you stop between 9th May - 22nd May 2011.

Its a fine deal for those that eat in the restaurant and live fairly close, as it does mean you have to make two trips.

Make sure you get a VOUCHER and RECEIPT from the restaurant, we had some trouble last time with only having a receipt (but they sorted it out).

Remember you can also pick up sealed drinks, baby food, fruit and sweets in the restaurant. It'll work well for us as we are going to be getting some baby stuff from there in the near future

Great thanks I will only go to Ikea once a year as I cant stand it my wife would go every day but sadly she does not drive. She thinks that I ma taking her on Saturday but I have actually arranged to meet my mate there and drop her with his wife and the kids whilst we go to football but I will make sure they eat and we go back in May happy days thanks

Issue is food quality! Unfortunately it is a poorly run restaurant. They sold us a fish with horrible smell (i.e. it was gone) and they did not look like they understand anything about food safety since they carried on selling rest of the batch!
No offence to deal submitter, it is a good deal. I am just sharing my experience.

Pistachio - not sure that'll be the experience of many who have ate in the restaurant, must have ate in there 20 times and the food has always been fine.

I was in the Glasgow store last week and the retaurant was disgusting. Food all over the floor, tables not cleaned and awful food and service. Just not a nice place to eat

Croydon food quality is very good, just to give some balance here

Last time I went I had to build my own food and wouldn't you know it it was missing a fish finger!

If your going to Ikea later today or tomorrow the restaurant has this offer on, but dont do like I did and forget to print the voucher. As it happened they didn't have any princess cakes left but I was told by the assistant that if I had the voucher I could have had any cake I like. Trust me to forget the voucher.

Celebrate the wedding of
Prince William & Kate in the IKEA
restaurant with a free princess cake
when you buy any
main meal from
Monday 25th April
to Friday 29th April 2011

The Edinburgh one is okay, much more civilised than the weedgies. :-)

Will go tomorrow as U can't get enough of those meatballs (and I need to lure my wife away from the TV and the farce down in London)

Here's an idea. If you're going to buy 1000 quids worth of furniture, just buy 1000 quids worth of meatballs and spread the word of a free meal amongst all the local homeless ;-)

I've eaten regularly in the Glasgow restaurant and never seen food all over the floor... The service is adequate, go up, order, take your food. If you're lucky you MIGHT get a smile, but to be honest I don't expect one as I can't imagine how c**p it is to work for IKEA.

The food has always been fine bar the one time about 8 years ago me and my partner were sold fish that wasn't cooked properly, it was still frozen inside! The manager of the store was extremely gracious and gave us six free meal vouchers (main, dessert and drink!) and I've never had a problem since. My only gripe is with certain meals you don't get enough... the lamb tagine I had the other day was tasty as anything but some more on the plate wouldn't have gone amiss...
