I went yesterday for this offer as we need new bed and sounded really great. When we saw actually the bed was totally not worth it (but yet again this is personal opinion), also bear in mind that this price is without the slated bed base with which one actually the total of the bed rises to around £128.
Hope that helps someone.

Yes, just noticed on the description that you need to buy the slatted base, this is just a surround.

The MALM double is £129 - available in a variety of wood effects AND now it includes the slatted bed base. Some people say the best thing is to cut your own base from a piece of plywood when your using a normal box spring mattress as all the support is already in that.

Also bare in mind ikea use european sizings for their beds and mattresses - so it's best to use their mattress. Normal ones will fit, there'll just be a bit of a gap at the sides.

Ikea aren't the only supplier of european standard bedding!

My bed is from the futon company ltd they are all EU size, bought duvet from Tesco, duvet cover from Argos.

Euro standard is growing in popularity, UK beds are too short for taller people.

Already have the slats from a previous cheap Ikea bed. The bed now needs replacing.

Thanks
