Not the most exciting offer, but here goes...

I have been looking for a decent set of affordable plates that still look the part and I must say I was amazed at this price.

At the rate we go through plates at home and the fact that every year designs change and force you to buy a new sets, I have saves a fortune. I not only got what I needed, but even got some spares to help futureproof my investment.

I have not found anything that is even near the quality of this stuff for under a pound. To give an example, to replace the ones I got from wilkinson last year will cost me £1.50 per unit..... No decision to make, buy new and take odd ones to charity!

Go to the ikea website and search for motto for the complete range

It is... must say though, did my back in trying to carry them all to the car...... 20 plates for under £5!

I must say, unless the cabinet collapses... I wont need to buy again for the next 10 years!

I also forgot to mention that they are dishwasher and microwave safe

Would love these but my nearest ikea is in London! I'm in Surrey :(

These have gone up 20% since I bought them 6 months ago. They were only 19p. Still very good plates for the money!

20% increase in 6 months!! That's disgraceful!! They`ll be bursting through that 35p a plate barrier in no time at all!! ;-)

That's a good price. We bought these at Christmas and they were 25p each then!

Warning, although it probably is obvious...

These are not the best quality plates ever. I dropped a spoon onto one from a few feet above and it shattered. But I feel I got my money's worth.

These have been 19p each in the Croydon branch for at least a year. We bought some and amazingly a year later, they are still all intact. Incredible value.

From a few feet above... how tall are you! :-P

I agree - you got your money's worth. I'd happily pay 50p to see a plate shattered by a spoon, now that's what I call entertainment!
:p

These are fab plates, had mine over a year and still going strong

The 19p offer still stands in Croydon, we got some 2 weeks ago to top up what we've had for over a year. They go through the dishwasher fine and last really well as others have said :-)

Bought some of the glass ones a couple of years ago - they are excellent - soooo useful and they havent' scratched.

good post!

PS The jokes in this thread have restored my faith in the humour of the users of Hotukdeals - makes a change from the sniping on some of the other threads! thanks!

I paid 19p for mine. They are really useful, the plates aren't really big enough for a full dinner but good for sandwiches etc.
The large dishes are good for pasta.
