Good deal if you are buying a kitchen there anyway

Please be aware that last time I looked, Ikea units didn't have cavities to the rear of the units, which means that it is harder to route any pipework (for washing machines, boilers, dishwashers etc etc). One's from Howdens and the like generally have a space behind them to make routing pipework easier. Good deal though if you're buying one and this isn't a problem for you.

We have just installed an ikea kitchen. We did have some reservations about buying one from ikea but I have to say that I have been extremely impressed with the whole service. it worked out £2000 cheaper than a lower spec one from Wickes. I can't fault the delivery service and there hasn't been a single piece missing!

Yes the cupboards don't have space at the back for the pipework but that means you get extremely deep cupboards and drawers. We just had to cut into one of the cupboards to sort the pipe work. you do have to have deeper work surface as well but that wasn't a problem for us as we had acrylic which came in a deeper size.

So no air gap for ventilation, handy for a run of units along the exterior wall I would of thought?
