Firstly, this was instore at Milton Keynes.

First post so be nice! I have just bought a house so went to Ikea to buy bits and pieces for the kitchen. I came across an 'Ikea Startbox' which I had previously seen at Ikea in Lakeside reduced to £49.99. I looked at what the box included and thought it was a bargain so bought it... When I got home I opened it up expecting it to be Ikea's value range. However, the pans are very heavy and are brushed stainless steel and the frying pan is teflon coated.

I thought I would also check how much the items would cost individually on the Ikea website and it totaled just over £112!

It includes:
1 x 365+ 28cm frying pan
1 x 365+ 2l Saucepan
1x 365+ 5l stock pot
1 x 23cm knife
1 x 28cm knife
1 x 30cm knife
2 x glass oven proof dishes
2 x mixing bowls
2 x chopping boards
3 x storage boxes
3 x cork worktop savers
1 x grater
1 x peeler
1 x can opener
1 x garlic press
1 x bottle opener/ corkscrew
1 x ikea 5 piece utensil set
1 x kitchen scissors
1 x measuring jug
1 x colander
2 x funnels
1 x measuring spoon set

I hope this helps all people on a budget like me :-)

I can't work out how to upload a picture but I have one ready to submit if someone wouldn't mind helping. (thanks in advance)

It looks about its money to me, it really depends on the quality of the pans - if they are decent like you say, then its not a half bad deal.

I bought a set of 3 pans from Ikea about a year ago which were about £5.50 for the set. I didnt expect much of them but just thought even if they last 6 months its still a bargain. A year later and they still lok good and I always put them in the dishwasher as well. The pans look similar to these ones.

The 365+ pans are pretty decent quality. Mine still look like new after 3 years of day-in day-out use. This seems like a good deal.

I bought this instore for £15 when it was on special offer not thinking that it would be great quality, but I have to say EVERY item in the box is astounding value. Well worth picking up if you need to deck out a kitchen with utensils.

£25 is still a hot deal, the pans are great quality and nice and heavy, they don't feel like they're made out of a bakewell tart tin case like some of the cheap supermarket pans :)

Fantastic bit of kit! Had a lot of kitchen essentials anyway but bought this as an extra and I must say I am incredibly pleased with the purchase! Highly recommended to anyone and at this price you'd be daft not to!

If you have someone going off to Uni this year , you might find it worth picking this up as my son needed this for going into halls last year.

Is this nation wide, would be great if some one could confrim as in London and its a right mission to get to IKEA.
#15
Those funnels are fab - very ergonomically designed with nice rounded edges. When I was pregnant and having to give a urine sample every other day it made it a helluva lot easier to get it in the pot!
#16
The 365 pans are worth the price alone - 5l stock pot = £19.99, 2l pan = £14.99 and the frying pan = £19.99. So on those three alone you're saving £30. I suspect the knives and cooking utensils won't be the best (probably quite bendy), but the rest should be fine.

I bought this same set a few weeks back from the Croydon Ikea for £29.99, was really strange as they were also advertising it on the Ikea Family specials at £44.99 at the same time.

Haven't used it yet as it is advance purchase for once I get a place later, just too tempting an offer to ignore at less than £1 / item

I disagree. If everything in the list was £1, it would cost more than £25.

Poundland / 99p shop kitchen utensils are barely worth even this much!

But thats kinda the point - not everything in the list would be a £1....

None in Glasgow - discontinued.

They had plenty of these in Lakeside/Thurrock this morning. £29.99.

Be quick though as the offer was advertised as finishing today (Sat 17th April).
#27
brilliant!

random question, but is this too big to bring back on the bus? hehe
#28
Having seen it and held it I reckon you'd be able to carry it to the bus stop and it would fit in one of those luggage things on the bus, and shouldn't be too much hassle on the seat beside you if someone already has their shopping in there.
