Amazon now has "Apple iLife '11, Single User (Mac)" available for £9.99 with free delivery.

Very poor reviews on Amazon, but at a tenner, it might be worth a look.

Good price i paid £25 when it first came out great for iPhoto not great for much else.

iMovie has some nice new themes and I believe its more stable.
#3

I'd heard it was iPhoto that was the big problem with iLife'11 and why I've avoided it so far, but at that price I'm tempted to give it a chance

Iphoto is excellent...can't see why people have given it bad reviews personally
#6
I had the upgrade for a few quid as I'd only bought my MBP shortly before release. I have to say I though the upgrade was pretty darn good, the new trailer themes were an excellent addition to iMovie. IPhoto was much as it was previously. Can't say there are any issues that bother me that much apart from not being able to zoom photos without going in to edit mode first. Worth a tenner.

Have had no problems mentioned or indeed in the rather protracted mac fanboy reviews on amazon, I have had both ilife 09 on a macbook and now ilife 11 on my new imac, no bother at all, love it! And if i still had my macbook, i would have paid a tenner for this, its a great price.

Great price!
I upgrade a couple of months ago and I can't understand the bad reviews, thumbs up from me and some noticeable improvements to iPhoto, which is the only one I really use.
#9
If you're having problems with iPhoto (I don't use it), don't forget that Aperture's still on the App Store for £45, about 75% off.
#10
Hot from me too, excellent price.
#11
Great price, quality product for the most part - was buggy when first released but recent updates mostly solved these.
#12
Only had poor reviews because of the problems upgrading iPhoto, people were losing photos. I had problems installing but all good now and all the latest software in the suite are excellent. Fantastic price from Amazon which won't last long!

I don't think there's any need to put 'Poor Reviews' in the title?

It just doesn't work? ;)

I downgraded my iphoto to 09's because iphoto 11 is is so bad. It was shocking and unfinished on release and stll a clunky kludge. As for the rest of the suite I can't tell the difference from 09 and iDVD and iWeb are officially no different. £9.99 is a fair price though.
#15
GarageBand alone is worth far more than £9.99.

HOT !!
#16
sorry, i have ilife 11 and have no problems with it...
hot!!!
#17
Received with MBP but bargain at this price if anybody has older version.
#18
You could probably re-sell it for more than a tenner if you don't like it.
#19
Awesome price! And I paid this amount for iPhoto alone. Now can get iMovie too!
#20
Can I also mention that iMovie is a revelation when it comes to video editing for quick and efficient movie making. I've made dozens of pro looking vids since I bought my MBP. I never EVER finished making even a simple video using cyberlink or coral or adobe's software. And also Guitarband, superb even for use as a simple wav editor.

iMovie is a quality package, the new themes alone are worth this price!
#22
Good price but stick with 09 if you have it.
#23
Superb price considering the Mac App Store is charging £26.97 for the equivalent package.
#24
Great price. I would advise upgrading even if you have iLife '09.
#25
Great price!
#26
When installing this is it possible to chose which items to upgrade? ie to upgrade everything but iPhoto? :| And if not how easy is it to downgrade iPhoto later?

Great software, especially at that price. GarageBand is a waste in your are not into making music, but is a nice application to make iPhone ringtones with tracks from iTunes.

IPhoto and iMovie are both brilliant!
#28
Thanks - just checked the App Store on the MBP to see what price they have it for.
They only do the individual apps for £8.99 each.
#29
despite the poor reviews this is a great package and a steal at 9.99, although it says single user you can install in as many macs as you like

If you tell apple you are buying an apple macbook or imac for you child at university you can get 14% Discount.

Plus applecare protection which is normally £295 for macbook will be around £48.

Thanks

Great suite of software. Just the 'rolling shutter' tool in Imovie is unique and worth several times more the price of the whole package.
#33
I miss the old iMovie which was actually like a professional editor and not overly simplified.

Muhammad, how does that work? is it the applecare for MBP? for £48 its well worth it...how can i get it?

cheers
#35
Amazing price. Probably cheaper since everybody is using the Mac App store to buy these apps individually.
#36
Use iLife 11 at home, upgraded from the previous version no bother. Certainly no issues with iPhoto. The iMovie upgrade is well worth having.

imovie 06 ?

HOT HOT HOT

I paid £10 (or something like that) for iPhoto alone on the app store - and it was well worth it - absolutely no problems
#39
Have some heat.

Hot deal esp for Garageband alone. The inclusion of timestreching makes this a worthy upgrade if you don't have other 'expensive' DAWs
