Imagin eReader - £35 off - £64.99 @ WHSmith

£64.99 @ WH Smith
just saw this on WHSmith website, £35 off Imagin Ereader. its on sale at Boots and Firebox for £99.99 so looks like a real discount. £64.99 is the cheapest i've seen for an ereader so far.

I'd be interested to know why this is getting negative marks. If you want to vote cold, do the decent thing and say why. Not all of us cam afford a kindle. Another one out there at a good price is the Sovos, this one is colour though £69.99 at Play http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/14545934/Sovos-SVEBK5B-5-inch-E-Reader-/Product.html

First time I have seen an e-reader at a sensible price, would have preferred e-ink but 65 quid looks worth a punt.

Take care with this one. It isn't eInk so it will not have the battery power of eInk and it will be backlit which will make it more tiring on the eyes. Calling it an eReader is a bit misleading really.

Where do people get books for these. I do use kindle a bit on my phone but obviously kindle stuff wont work with this.

Another thing that bugs me is other than downloading stuff from piratebay the prices generally seem to be more than having a real book delivered.

Have you tried your local library website, our in Dorset now have e-books that you can get for free if you can read epub format, which rules Kindle out. I expect this to be a big thing for libraries in the future.

This is all you need! Will convert your ePubs to Mobi for Kindle! I've converted 500+ ePubs and not a single problem reading on my Kindle 3!

I got this ereader for Xmas. Its easy to use, easy to download books, its easier on the eyes than you might think. But the battery life isnt the best, but it pretty much does what it says on the box. Ideal for a first time ereader novice.
