I bought these chairs a few weeks ago and i got them for £11.99 each but i was not sure if they would come off. But yesterday i got all 6 delivered and they are the same ones that Tesco are selling for £84.00 (at the moment they are £67.20- 20% off) And the box they come in also states £84.00

These are EXCELLENT quality chairs and am very pleased with them.

It's now gone back up to £160 (£200 - 20%)

Also it's out of stock

Just to confirm

Yes there are 2 links on the Tesco site one is listed as £84.00 and is now £67.20 (20% offer) the other link which i think was from last year when Tesco reduced they items by 75%. So the £84.00 chair was reduced to £21.

Now for some reason the link is still active on the site and also it takes off the 20% offer that they are running making the chair £16.99

So i ordered them thinking it might come off it might not, but yesterday got all 6 chairs delivered and charged only £16.99 (I did use the £5 voucher to get them £11.99 but this has now expired.)

Hope this makes is clear

how did you get free delivery?
thanks
#19
You don't get free delivery. You have to buy the cheapest sim card £2.47 and there is free delivery with these. So put that in the basket to, and delivery is effectively £2.47 (rather than £4.95).
#20
And take the Sim back to your store for a full refund, or ring them up and they will collect the sim for free. You then get 'free' delivery.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Although I can never be bothered to take the SIM back, and it just feels weird to make them come and collect a £2.47 SIM from me!
#22
I have rang them before and said it's not suitable they refund you within minutes and guy picks it up a few days later.

These posts are identical - I wonder if you looked at the wooden chairs.

Both metal and wood chairs - as posted by Mumbojumbo midthread - have the same stock number - 200-1895

after doing some research i believe these chairs are slightly different from the ones you will find if you go directly to tesco direct website and not through the link here at hotdeals.it looks like the newer ones being sold for £67.20 are a folding version of the same chair.even though they are using the same image of the chair.

new folding design catalogue number 202-8447 £67.20

old non folding design catalogue number 200-1895 £16.99

Thats £50.21 cheaper just because they possibly wont fold up for easier storage.

ive just ordered 6 chairs and thats a saving of almost £300 so im not worried about the fact they might not fold up as a decent garden furniture cover will look after them during the winter months.

does anyone know if they are stackable ??? makes no difference to me but might be useful to other buyers .

ile report back on saturday with my conclusions unless someone else recieves theirs before.

http://www.scancom.net/products/aluminium.htm

check out this manufacturers website it clearly shows that the chairs have an extra pivot joint under the armrests and are quoted to be the manufacturer on the tesco website along with the type of chair description being [multi position folding] againts [MULTI POSITION NON FOLDING] for the cheaper version.

As stated in the first post i ordered these 2 weeks ago but waited to get them before posting as was not sure what they would be like. They are the same as the ones in the other link. The box they come in states £84.00 on the box. They also recline for easy storage.

Infact they are easy to set up, open box pull out chair and sit.

I can confirm that these chairs are fantastic. I've bought 8 @ £16.99, they are exactly the same as the more expensive ones ones currently on the website. As previously stated the price on the box is £84.00. They are 100% foldable and really good quality. I also bought the table for £160 and again it is really lovely and very large, extendable from 6 - 8 seats. I reordered it last weekend when I saw on this site that it had been reduced to £100 so I currently have two tables! The £160 one is being collected this week(FOC) and I have already received a confirmation from Tesco that I am getting a refund of £180??? So effectively I've got an amazing Oak and Aluminium table for £80!!
#35
Well if they don't recline they will arrange a redelivery to take them back with no charge; got to be worth a try:? Thanks op.

Hi DonnaKebab or anyone with these chairs. How far back do they recline pls. Was thinking of getting these instead of a steamer if they go back far enough; and using something else to put our feet up on! Are they comfy? Thanks
#38
I wish the table was still £100 its up to £160. Anyone with a suggestion on a cheaper soloution?

Hi Mr Hunter, I was a little confused by the words 'they also recline for easy storage' and wondered if you could let us know about how these fold and how compact they are when folded.

I missed out on the wooden folding ones Tescos were doing which I had seen also in Woolies and liked cos they folded very compactly so that I could easily fit 4 of them in my garage. These look a promising alternative but Im not sure if they would be quite as compact. Although DonnaKebbas reply above seems to answer my question about them being foldable her reply also mentions that they are identical to the more expensive ones but the site lists quite different dimensions for the two different links.

From the link the cheap £16.99 ones are listed as:
H107xD72.7W59.4cm.

Wherease the £67.20 ones are listed as:
Product Depth 52.2 cm Product Height 84.1 cm
