Had an email from Maplins today. They offer this wireless reversing camera including 2.5" colour screen for £59.99. Sounds like a bargain. Sounds like a great husband to wife present!! (Please ladies don't vote cold for that comment!!)

If only we had eyes in the back of our head, life would be much easier understanding exactly what is behind us. Whilst it is unlikely the human race will ever have this ability, you can effectively add eyes to the back of your car or caravan to aid in reverse parking.

Park your car safely and easily using wireless camera technology
2.4-inch screen mounted colour monitor
Monitor is powered from the cigarette lighter socket (DC 12V only)
Camera connects to the reversing light and automatically transmits when reverse gear is selected
Camera has a wide 110° horizontal and 80° vertical viewing angle
Complete with adaptor plates to fit to the majority of number plates
Ideal if you are towing a caravan or trailer
Kit contains all fixings and attachments required for easy self-installation
We have all at some point struggled with reversing into a tight spot, or sometimes gone that little too far. Well now with this ingenoius device you can actually see what is behind you and prevent those nasty shocks when we inadvertently hit an obstacle. Simple connection of the camera and monitor can give you that third eye facility as the camera transmits to the small colour screen when you select reverse gear offering the drive a means to safe and effective parking.

Actually these do more harm than good. This item is pointless. The person will be concentrating on the screen too much.

Reverse sensors are much better than this. Cold.

Maybe open the door and look out will be cheaper than this. LOL.

Agree with the guy below, but could poss be used as an onboard trip cam of some kind though. Was thinking of setting something up after a daft bird opened her car door in front of me and tried blaming it on me.

Better to get a beefier rear bumper http://www.4x4intelligence.com.au/rear_bar.htm

If you can't reverse without this, then you need to surrender your licence

Obviously the big car manufacturers don't agree with you!

Well handy for when you've got a 40 foot trailer behind, if the wireless range would work that far.

not wishing to get into a debate about reversing as this a site about hot deals!!! however my mate has used this when driving on his own abroad, you can stick in in top left hand side of the windscreen and see if the road ahead is clear if there is a need to overtake. and no before someone says it's dangerous because you're looking at the screen, it's a quick glance
