It doesn't say whether it is 1000mA (1 Amp), 500mA or anything inbetween. When using a 500mA charger with my HTC Desire and using Navigation at the same time the phone doesn't actually charge, it just loses battery power slower. If this is a 1000mA charger it is worth it, if it isn't you can still get one for a couple of quid off eBay.

Anybody know if it fits the T Mobile pulse that was on offer a few weeks ago?

This appears to be quite a common problem with the HTC Desire. The phone overheats and resets. I had to send mine back to HTC for repair because it was doing it constantly. :-( There are a number of threads on the Vodafone support forums with people having this same issue.

Exactly. I had the same problem with loads of chargers until I bought the official HTC one which was fine. Make sure you test this with Navigation running, people!

Thanks for that, useful to know.

Postage is charged to N. Ireland making this over £3. There are a lot of cheaper alternatives about for people from N. Ireland so voting cold.

You can get the 1A ones cheap on ebay.

The way to tell is to go into battery information through the settings menu and it either says (Charging USB) or (Charging AC). It needs to say AC otherwise the desire will still loose battery while using gps.

You can get a decent car mount and 1A charger on Egay for about six quid.
