Found this on the Dealextreme website.

This little gadget plugs into the cig adapter in your car, it can take USB sticks or SD Memory cards. It also comes with a remote. The unit works via an inbuilt FM Transmitter.

Just order one and two 9 LED torches for a grand total of £9.31 delivered.... They will probally take a while to get here but it should be worth the wait.

Please be sure to post under the correct merchant.... "deal extreme", not ":In Car MP3 Player - £6.50 Delivered deals". Thanks. Please see the links in my signature for help on posting deals. :) Welcome to HUKD markey075!

Thanks for the deal, but where is the link going?

Surely it should be pointing towards:

Mixed reviews :-

Bottomline: It sounds like a radio station from a town 50 miles away and doesn't have the critical shuffle feature. That alone condemns it, but the fact that the supplied audio cable isn't compatible with the device just makes it comical.

Bottomline: This is a splendid player with good sound and a remote controller for easy selection of songs and channels.

I too recently found out about the dealextreme website.

The things on their site seem unbelievably low priced. Considering they deliver for free, i do wonder how they turn a profit.

I ordered a few things off their site a few days ago, came to about 9 USD delivered. The delivery time quoted is 7-14 business days, so if you can afford to wait, this is indeed great value.

Whether it turns up on my doorstep or not remains to be seen ...

Fingers crossed. Any of you guys out there had experience with DealExtreme?

They have some nice little gadgets but bear in time delivery time can vary from 7 - 10 days to over a month. Also they are not at all accurate on whats in stock. I ordered a few torches end of November 07 and they only showed up a few days ago. Still very cheap .

I have ordered a few things from them (including Wii remotes)

Everything I have ordered has arrived, as described.

I too cannot understand how they make a profit. I once bought a Tri-Wing screwdriver for 50p. Arrived 7 days later in a Jiffy bag from HK. Surely P&P must be more than 50p....

and it is SUCH fun browsing through their site (esp the $1 deals) finding all these little gadgets you never new you needed.

Have ordered quite a few things from dealextreme including a couple of DSOne and 1 Gb micro SD card packages for around £25 each! Always arrived OK - a bit slow, around 2 weeks, but at their prices this is, I consider, acceptable. I think they probably use cheapest available HK postal service although most stuff turns up "signed for".

They obviously make a profit on what they sell, just not as much as the "Channel Island" based sellers!

Great site great service! I love it!

I've ordered about 6 or 7 times from dealextreme. As stated earlier the post can be a little while (about 14 days but it is coming from Hong Kong) but it always arrives.

I've only had one problem (where the item sent was marked as 2Gb but when tested turned out to be 1Gb). Not their fault, took a little while to contact customer service (in the end I phoned and got immediate service) and a replacement was sent out which was fine.

I've ordered from them since without any worries.

Don't you get hammered with the customs using this site though due all the items coming from abroad???? :?

Generally most stuff is under the customs limit (£18 ? or something like that).
And if it isn't, DE aren't very good at remembering exactly what they put in the package when they come to valuing it on the outside.:whistling:.

Sounds good to me
Lets have a browse round this site then and see what bargains i can find :p

I bought 3 of these items before Christmas and they're were all very good.

The sound quality is very very good for an item of this type - with the proviso that you keep the volume level below about 20. Above this then the signal appears to attenuate. Keep it below this value and then use the volume control of your stereo and it's every bit as good as an iTrip.

This is an amazing little gadget. Don't hesitate to buy it!

The quality of these things is pish poor avoid !!!

heh, what a great little site. I just ordered a replacement iPod Shuffle charger (lost ours), a remote controlled mini helicopter and the transmitter device. For about £18 delivered. Good spot.

can you put a SD card in to the unit or must it be in a card reader or similar and then connected via USB?

I too have bought three separate items from deal extreme and all have turned up, its worth the wait. I don't think I would order anything expensive, but the little gadgets you don't normally see whilst browsing in this country make this web site shop one to have a look around.

reasons I have made purchases:
-lots of cheap fun gadgets
-trade in US Dollars (strong english pound)
-paypal
-plenty of images/reviews on items
-free delivery

All I would say is that if you are unsure whether or not to buy as they are based in HK, use the reviews on here, purchase something for 50p and see if it arrives. One of my items didn't arrive as stated, once I contacted them, they sent me a replacement free of charge, no quibbles!

Deal Extreme Rocks!
-excellent customer service

The price for the adapter is good but I wouldn't expect great sound from it........FM transmitters are poor (I've got a Griffin and it's ok....just ok).
#22
Nice deal but I went for the other transmitter (black with lcd, has 11 reviews).
I have used the site before to buy a dvi adapter (about £1 delivered, and took a month or so to arrive). Great site, amazing prices.
#23
Geat site and prices - ordered wuite a few bits (some for £4 which are £40 in the UK!)

Love this site since being told about it a few months ago. I've placed (and received) several orders now with no problems and would definitely recommend it to anyone. The reviews on there tend to be good too, to give you more of an idea whether or not to buy specific items.

Received mine a few weeks ago and was very dissapointed. Most of DV's stuff "feels" cheap but works aswell as the authentic product, this is just cheap tat. Sound quality is very fuzzy and my SD card actually got stuck in the device. Had to completely dissasemble and remove with some plyers.

One to avoid.

Agreed, this is the first time I've seen this thread, but I bought one of these so I could play MP3 files through my factory fit Ford stereo, the quality is really bad. I decided in the end to buy a new head unit instead that takes a usb drive and the quality is infinitely better. The best bit is that the Ford stereo seems to go for about what I paid for the new one on Ebay!
