Thanks, I haven't been on here for a week and did a search but found nothing posted today about this.
I genuinely already had these 2 games but the kids don't play them at all so I have traded them in today, haven't bought them specifically to trade in and was just reminding people that this offer is still available, especially if you have a couple of games that don't get played much.

I traded in Smackdown v's Raw and Billy The Wizard, both of which are considered to be rubbish games i n my house, I paid for an extra wheel and it came to £9.99 :)

Aren't they the £9.99 deals?

You need to look at the total cost. One of the threads indicates a total of ~£25, whereas OP in theory paid £35. (£15 trade in x2 + 4.99)
#6
Oh yeah and I got a free wii mariokart cap which my 9 year old loves:)

But the deal is not for a total cost, but for 2 games + £4.99?

Whether the trade in value is £15 or £100 is not the deal in this case?

Total actual cost for me then was £15.97 :-D
Cosmic Family (£7.99 just after Christmas) Billy the Wizard (£2.99 - long story but got £12 off original price just after Christmas too!) and £4.99 for MarioKart today.

However actual or theoretical price doesn't matter to me as I have 2 seriously happy 7 year olds in my house and that is PRICELESS!!!

Ok. But a bit confused by the original post. Seems to indicated traded in two games, got x amount and paid £4.99. Website indicates Mario Kart sells for £34.99.

If the above is a Game deal, then it is differenta to the deal of two wii games + £9.99 which others have suggested has been advertised. Although nothing stopping them from changing that deal.

My suspicion is that the store done a straight forward trade in for two games, and then OP paid the difference. However I could be wrong.

So you are now saying that it isn't 2 games plus £4.99?
#13
The deal is trade 2 games and get a £39.99 game at £9.99 however Mario Kart is only £34.99 hence its trade two games (trade in value of £30) and get Mario Kart for £4.99.

If the games come to more than £30 (e.g. two copies of Mario Galaxy) the it will cost less tan £4.99, or maybe even free.

Thats exactly right. I did it today, and also picked up the extra wheel, thought i'd have 14.98 to pay, but it came to total £9.99-(game, wheel included with it and extra 3rd party wheel)
#15
posters in my store said get MC for £9.99 but they said it was a printing error and is definately trade in 2 games (with instructions etc) and pay £4.99 for MC. You can also buy an extra wii wheel for £4.99 if bought at the same time.

Wii Sports and Wii play are EXCLUDED from trade in. Althought they wouldnt trade in a game for the guy in front of me, it was complete and as new, but because they have never sold it in their shops, they could not trade it in! Felt sorry for the guy, had his kid right next to him too.
#16
How long does this go on for?
#17
my question is .. do the games need to be new and sealed? or are we talking used ones?
#18
Shops such as game and gamestation wont trade games if they are new and sealed they need to be unsealed.
#19
How com in my local store it says 2 games and get Mario Cart for £9:99 not £4:99 might go down on sunday.

Would they takes Resident Evil 4 and Links Crossbow Challenge.
#20
They do not need to be new and sealed. They are pre owned games that are traded in ( i suppose you could take in new). I know someone that took in 2 used games this morning (Sonic with rings, or something like that and mercury meltdown) and paid the £4.99 and got Mario Kart.

I went in on Thursday though and asked about the deal as i had heard somewhere that you take one game and £9.99 and you could get it, but that wasnt the case. It has to be 2 games and £4.99. So she scanned my mercury meltdown game and if i wanted to trade that in on its own the value given would be £7. If you go on the Game website there is a pdf that can be downloaded that gives trade in prices for some games (no good phoning them up as they tell you they are not allowed to give prices over the phone, you have to take them in to be scanned, so perhaps prices vary on a daily basis). Some games have trade in values of £7 some £18 and there was another price, think it was £12.

Im waiting for Cosmic Family to be delivered then im taking that in with my mercury meltdown and £4.99 to get Mario Kart. Total cost to me will be £19.98. Great way of doing things.

When I spoke to them, they said they're willing to accept any Wii game other than Wii Sports (which comes free with the console) and Wii Play (because the game is only worth about a fiver, it's the controller that's worth anything).

My local store also told me it's for £9.99 as well but I also asked them if I can combine the promos in order to get Sega Superstar Tennis for £19.99 when bought with Mario Kart including in the trade deal and they said it's acceptable. :)
#22
Going top try GAME in the morning as did not have chance to go down today with being in work, hopefully they have some left otherwise will keep checking as the offer is on for about 2 weeks or slightly less

if you have 2 rubbish games like rampage which are almost worthless on ebay then it could be a good time to trade them in for this even if you already have it then sell mario kart on... i sold rockn roll adventure + rampage for about £10 after fees + delivery... wish i hadnt now

Rayman Ravin Rabbids 2 can be bought from Play for £17.99. Its trade in value is £25, so not a bad way of getting £7.01 off a game.
#27
It's £4.99, plus any 2 trade-ins, apart from wii sports and wii play. Game had a full page advert in The Sun (London edition) yesterday detailing the offer. Think it goes on till the 23rd or 24th April. Threw the paper away, so I can't be certain about those dates.

I went down there yesterday morning and traded in two games. The cashier couldn't do the trade in properly on his till and there were at least 15 people in the queue behind me, so he sold it to me for £3.99 instead :)
#28
Just traded in wing island and excite truck, not bad considering I only paid £15 for both games and I dont play them either
#29
Game are doing a BOGOF promotion at the moment on Wii games, the one i can remember is carnival sports at 29.99 to buy & trade in price 10.00 so for 29.99 you have your 2 games which you can then trade in for 20. and pay 4.99 for mario cart meaning it costs only 14.98- IS THIS CORRECT I HOPE SO)
#30
Thanks a lot for this...got a couple of wii games I picked up from Currys and Comey (Surf's Up and The Golden Compass) - cost me £7 for the two. Off to Game later on to pick up Mario Cart and the Wheel for £9.99. Makes it £17 total cost overall. Bargain. :D

If it costs you £29.99 to buy the two games, then you pay an additional £4.99 on top for Mario Cart, you've paid Game's price of £34.98 for the game. So, you've saved nothing.

But you are getting 20.00 back for the 2 games when you trade them in so the total cost is 10.00.

My local Game had sold out (only had enough for their pre-order customers). So, I phoned my local Gamestation and asked them to price match the deal, which they did. Took in Surf's Up and Golden Compass, paid £9.99 and got Mario Cart (including official Nintendo Wheel), plus another official Nintendo wheel. Bargain! Game's offer on the extra wheel is for a Game branded wheel, not the official Nintendo wheel! By the way, the £4.99 deal for Mario Kart includes one official Nintendo wheel...if you pay £9.99, you get two wheels.

If your Game has no stock, go to Gamestation and get them to match Game! Click thumbnail below to see receipt from Gamestation showing them price matching Game. Oh, Gamestation also gave me a MK DS toy car thing for free.

My local Game (Milton Keynes) has posters in the windows with Mario Kart and the deal is trade any two Wii games and pay £9.99 so is this £4.99 deal region specific?
#40
Just got this, traded in red steel and Super monkey ball for £15 each and got this for £5 :D. Great deal.
