These albums stink, to call it in the mix is a joke as my 2 year old could do better, tracklisting is top notch but the mixing is poor.

Voted hot for the tracklisting.

That is really awesome tracklist for the price. Heat added.

Generally hate mix CDs though.

good album, but this is really old!!!!!!!

That's not a rave mix, it's a collection of songs that were played down the local sharon and tracy nightclub to drunk people who waved their hands in the air a bit and felt like they were living the times.
There's the odd pearl though...obviously put in more by luck than judgement.

Terrible album, I agree with the last comments. I dont think they played Cappella @ Amnesia House or Shelly's in Stoke. Good for all the Hippodromer's though!!!!!!!

Great tracklisting to remember the late 80's and early 90's dance era - whether they are all strictly rave is debatable - but didnt it all go a bit cheesey back then with everyone releasing 'dance' versions of theme tunes and kids tv progs? Bod, Magix Roundabout, Charly, Trip to Trumpton etc?

Of those listed these I did officially 'rave' to off me face to :-

4. Xpansions - Move Your Body
6. Love Decade - So Real
10. Cappella - U Got 2 Let The Music
11. Bassheads - Is There Anybody Out There?
15. Baby D - Let Me Be Your Fantasy
16. Atlantic Ocean - Waterfall
17. Awesome 3 - Don't Go
18. Jinny - Keep Warm
3. Joe Smooth - Promised Land
5. K-Klass - Rhythm Is A Mystery
10. Brothers In Rhythm - Such A Good Feeling
11. Shades of Rhythm - Sound Of Eden
14. Slo Moshun - Bells Of N.Y.
6. Degrees Of Motion - Do You Want It Right Now
7. Praga Khan - Injected With A Poison 08 Technotronic feat. Felly - Pump Up The Jam
12. Shades of Rhythm - Extacy
14. Felix - Don't You Want Me
15. FPI Project - Everybody (All Over The World)
16. Rhythm Quest - Closer To All Your Dreams
17. Sub Sub feat. Melanie Williams - Ain't No Love (Ain't No Use)
18. A.S.H.A. - J.J.Tribute

Well worth a punt but the quality of mixing did vary on the In The Mix series - always sounded computer mixed but sorta first generation of mixing rather than anything that clever or technically/musically great! Maybe this mix is better?

"Back in the old days, the "In The Mix" series was great. 96, 97, 98, 90's, 2000, Ibiza (I've still got that one in the multichanger in my car!), they were full of killer tunes, huge remixes and some inspired and exciting mixing, even if it was done in a studio. The original CDs sound like they'd been put together by people with a real passion for the music.
But with "Rave Revival", and the previous release "The Revival", it appears that everything has changed. The track listings seems pretty good at first glance, but now it's mainly bog standard radio edits, with any extended mixes or remixes reduced to 2 or 3 minutes so they can cram on more tracks. I presume this is so that the "60 non stop rave hits" tag looks more appealling.
And worst of all, the mixing is absolutely awful. Dull, uninspired, lazy and in many cases, simply painful to listen to. Within 10 or 15 seconds of the new track coming in, the old one is quickly faded out, leaving a huge hole in the sound and leaving you to wonder what the hell happened. The whole thing sounds like it was thrown together one Friday afternoon. Seriously, I can do better with MixMeister on my laptop.
Mark Goodier and anyone involved at Wise Buddah should hang their heads in shame.
Very, very disappointing."
