Inception (Triple Play Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy) Blu Ray £6.00 delivered @ HMV

andywedgeandywedge[mod]

Cracking price for this; Amazon have it at this price too if you prefer but an 11 day wait.

Take a trip into the world of the subconscious with 'The Dark Knight' director Christopher Nolan's mind-bending thriller. Packed with pulse-pounding action scenes and an incredible cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ellen Page, this is the stuff dreams are made of!

Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved.

Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one.

If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

Extraction Mode: Infiltrate the movie's imaginative landscape to learn how Christopher Nolan, Leonardo DiCaprio and the cast and crew designed and achieved the film's signature moments
Dreams: Cinema of the Subconscious: Can the Dream World Be a Fully Functional Parallel Reality?: Joseph Gordon- Levitt and leading scientists take you to the cutting edge of dream research
Inception - The Cobol Job: Comic prologue in full animation and motion - see the events that led to the beginning of the movie
5.1 Soundtrack Selections from Hans Zimmer's versatile score

According to Amazon, "The Digital Copy on this Title Has Expired", still a good deal though.

That's funny, the blu ray I have has the digital copy and that expired last December. I even tried to redeem it but no joy. Is there a new version with a "in-date" digital copy?

I redeemed mine only the other month (bought it when it came out) and it was ok. The following link states the expiry date. (I don't use ITunes so can't vouch for that)

    Inception Expiry

Just a question, what exactly is the point of triple plays apart from giving away copies you don't want/need? If you have a blu ray player, when are you ever going to want to check out the dvd or download copy? I never have but I guess I'm missing the point somewhere! Great film though and heated ;)

We get the double play Disney films so that when in car or caravan where we don't have the bluray player we can watch the bog-standard DVD version on the in-car DVD or TV/DVD combo. Perhaps the same for other peeps?

There's no such release (double play) they're all triple plays. They are probably being cautious like Amazon in case the digital copy
has expired (although it's been extended 'till next year)

Great movie and would thoroughly recommend to anyone. It's not everyone cup of tea and I read plenty of reviews beforehand where people had to watch it twice to understand the plot but I'm happy to say I didn't have that problem myself :)

Just a question, what exactly is the point of triple plays ...(stuff removed)

Another reason for including a Blu Ray and DVD is so that people without Blu Ray players can buy the pack, and not have to buy the film again if/when they get a Blu Ray player. It's a form of future proofing. Not a bad idea really, though I suspect it's also the industry trying to nudge people towards Blu Ray.

Great spot. Gone for it online. And if I get a chance to go to a HMV store I'll try for the £1 pickup as future Xmas pressies.
