Good to know - the back of mine's in a bit of a mess after 14 months...but it's being replaced under insurance (a crack's developed by the charger port) so wanted to get something discreet to protect the replacement handset...reviews look good on this, sounds like just the ticket.

Was going to order this last week at just under tenner, glad I didn't.

Thanks, ordered.

Just beat me to it lol

Have decided to give it a go.

Have had one of these on my iPhone 3GS since the day of purchase. Fantastic little case, adds barely any extra bulk to the iPhone itself and if I were to take the sleeve off and the plastic screen, it'd still be mint condition. Handy if I get the urge to sell it to upgrade to the next version. You wont notice the case or the protective screen on the thing, so glad I got this. I believe I paid about £13 excluding postage in July, the cheapest I could find it, so hot!!

Whats wrong with a simple velvet/soft material pouch costing £3?

Whats wrong with a simple velvet/soft material pouch costing £3?

I thought the same thing and have been using a soft pouch that cost me about £3 for the past 6 months - At first it was fine - but it quickly became quite tatty and gets annoying constantly having to take the phone out of the pocket and then out of the pouch to answer it, so I have decided to give this a try.

anyone tried the incipio feather for ipod touch?
#9
saw one of these cases on a mates phone last night. got to say, i was really impressed.
#10
yes, my husband had the incipio feather for his ipod touch because he liked mine on my iphone and it makes the touch look fab, but amazon don't do the feather for the touch so he had to get it from a power seller on Ebay but it Fab, Fab, Fab

I've just got this case today- it feels a bit flimsy compared to me griffin elan form. I bought it mainly so my iphone fits into the holder I bought for using tomtom. The soft coating on the case comes off extremely easily when putting the case in and out of the holder. I only paid about £7 for it though so not too fussed.

LOL.
Id imagine you'd struggle to see the screen through it...
You realise that your comment is for a totally unrelated and different style of product?
Great price, i just paid £18 for one as i need to for tomorrow...

great case, had mine for going on 6 months, still looking good.
#14
I would say I wish I had waited as I bought it a few weeks ago, but dropped mine the other day as I slipped on ice ! Tore the screen protector up a bit but no damage to the screen underneath. Good price.

Nice slim case but no protection for the silver bezel especially the bottom beside speakers.

Was thinking about getting one of these. Then /I saw a review of a Speck Toughskin that got me tempted. Anyone have any experience of the latter?
Also, anyone used one of these covers (Incipio) with a car windscreen mount? TIA.

That's the reason i love my incase slider. I've read a couple threads over at macrumors saying the area near the dock is prone to cracking after a while and it actually scratch up the bezel (since it's only half covered and that's exactly where dust and dirt accumulates).

Brought this a while back, and find it very good http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.23698

Guys, I had one of these on my Iphone but had to take it off to get to the sim card compartment. When I had taken it off I noticed the case had scratched the metallic rim around the phone. I presume this is where the case snugly fits the Iphone. Thats the only downside I have found with this. Hope this helps.

Had my one of these for about 4 days now and must admit I think its great, I love the fact its as though you dont actually have a case on it, and that it doesnt come onto the front (thats always put me off these types of cases previously). The day I first took it into work, two of my colleagues saw it and immediately bought one for their iphones.

Highly recommended.

Im waiting for a Bodyguardz to arrive and hopefully the Incipio will fit over the top of it.

And with that - i''ve decided to order one for my iPhone ! Cheers :-D

I just adore my iphone, and have been looking for a 'non intrusive case' so as not to detract for tits looks and functionality while now..so am happy to be opting for this.

Thanks agaian OP

this case looks really nice on the iphone but only offers scratch protection for the back casing dont expect it to be okay after dropping it

I had a black one of these for my iPod Touch - it lasted just over a month before it cracked next to the button at the top. After another month, it had cracked down the back too, so it went straight in the bin. I'd say they are worse than useless because of this. It's cool the way you can dock it with the case on, but the plastic isn't up to standard. In my opinion you are wasting your money on one of these.

One of my mates has a white one for his 3GS - it has turned yellow after a few months. Hasn't cracked though!

Had one of these on my iPhone 3Gs since July, can highly reccomend it.

Obviously there are different cases for different peoples needs, no it doesn't wrap over the front/screen area, no it doesn't protect the dock area particularly well, and yes the constant tiny movement between case and phone will put very faint marks in the the silver/chrome surround of the iPhone, BUT not the super glossy black rear of the iPhone

However:
- if you hate bulky cases this case is for you
- if you find your iphone slipping off your knee when sat down/ or slips off the arm on your chair etc etc because of the shiny back of an iPhone then this case with its anti slip coating is for you
- if you want an ultra thin case that last for months (if you look after it) then this case is for you
- if you want simple protection for every corner of the phone then this is for you.
- if you want a case that still allows the iPhone to fit in many docks/cradles etc this is the best chance you will have at less than 1mm thick. Still doesn't fit in all super snug docks but its the best chance you've got
- if you want a case that gives full use of all buttons, the camera, the dock and the speaker at the bottom this is for you

I've heard if you keep removing it, its prone to cracking - so don't keep removing it ! I remove it about once a month just to get any bits of dust away from the gaps and its been fine. I've also heard any colour other than black can discolour easily due to the heat of the iPhone, but thats the same on most cases.

If the case ever cracks then I'll buy another one, so far, 6 months down the line i can't argue at a £10-or-so case that protects a £400 iPhone ! I'd imagine the case to not withstand a huge drop but at least its your iPhone protected.

Got this case a few weeks ago for a wee bit more than this and very happy with if so far. Doesn't add much bulk at all which was my main concern, and provides good protection against scratches (using with 3rd party screen protector). I considered several other options but didn't want something I had to take the iPhone out if whenever I wanted to use it and didn't want a bulky cover.

Nice spot!

hot hot hot, just ordered, very good price, as long as you dont mind waiting >5 business days for the free delivery

Just received it now. The back protector is ok but I'm not sure why everyone raves about it so much. Yes its smooth and doesn't add bulk, but it doesn't do anything that other covers can't offer atm.

As for the screen protectors.....omg they are sssoooooo rubbish. They are exactly the same as the ones I bought off flea bay for 30p!! I've just ordered the bodyguardz screen protectors from the above item number for an $11.50 bid.

If I knew what I know now, I wouldn't bother with this product. The hype far outweighs the actual item
