My first washing machine was an Indesit, it lasted 8 years. Our next Indesit lasted 18 months. It would cost more than it was worth to fix it. the door catch can break, which can break the on board computer. If you dont mind replacing the washing machine after 12-18 months it is not a bad buy. I emailed Indesit about this problem and they replied "It is only designed to last 12 months" .It may cost you £15-£10 a month which is not bad, just please bear this in mind.
This is the exact same washer that failed so soon on me and many others.

Don't overfill it and slam the door then.

Well the reveiws i have found are pretty good and you should always extend the guarrantees for the extra few quid a year to cover any appliances. It saves on all the bills if somthing does go faulty.

This will be my 4th order from Debs this year......and if it arrives the first!!!!
I honestly don't hold out any hope of getting this.

The WIDL102 a lower spec model is £269!!!

lol:giggle:

Seriously though, it seems like a good price if you are a light user.

No good for us, with 3 kids and a dog who could all find mud in an operating theatre! :x - I shall continue my search for a condenser dryer with large capacity!
#9
nice price, but not a very large load capacity
#10
Indesit WIDL126 is the worst bit of kit ever !!!

I have a plumber friend who says these are the most unreliable ever.

AVOID

He wouldn't buy one if it were 10p
#11
2 salesmen in my local branch of Currys said that Indesit are reffered to as Indes**t in the trade when I asked how good they were when I bought a machine from them about 3 years ago, I bought a Bosch one in the end.

Useful website here, only a few reviews on there but there is other useful info on washine machines written by washine machine repairmen.
#12
Not a bad price for an economy model but that "was" price is pure fiction.
#13
Just ordered one for my folks who live in France for 3 months of the year. It'll be great for them as it won't get much use and I missed out on the Tesco Servis machine that was on here a few weeks back by 2 seconds. Still, this has a dryer which is great for where they are - not in the South!

Thanks :)
#14
is it a condenser dryer?
#15
The price is good , BUT i wouldnt have another INDESIT washer if they were giving them away.

My first lasted 1 year and 2 days !!!(Indesit didnt want to know about the warranty even though it was only 2 days over!!) THEN being the fool i am, i ordered ANOTHER Indesit to replace it hoping it was just a one off!! HOW WRONG I WAS!!! - that one lasted 16 months!!!

So a lesson to be learnt there...dont buy Indesit!!!.....i feel that is why there prices have come down so much in the past few years, thye are getting a reputation for very very poor quality.

My latest Zanussi one is now 4 years old and going strong....

You get what you pay for i suppose.
#16
Voted HOT as this is priced at £250+ everywhere else.

My Zanussi is 10 years + and still going strong. Not bad for one of the cheaper non-German brands!

Worst washer we ever had broke dow near the end of gurantee was out of commision for 3 weeks while being fixed. On its lasts legs now constantly leaking and not even washing properly.Would rather pay the extra for a decent washer that last a good few years to avoid the hassle of changing.
#24
Well Indesit is a very poor brand - we bought an indesit condenser tumble dryer - it was delivered and not working - got another a couple of days later - fortunately my wife bought it on a 4 or 5 year interest deal with extended repairs and call outs.

To date we have had 1 new drum, 4 new heating elements, 1 new condenser - approximately 8 call outs in 2 years - dont buy indesit or you will be on first name terms with the guys who repair the damn machines.

Thanks for the hilarious quote. Now other Ides**t owners have had their say, I think my point has been validated. I was only trying to warn others.

Just thought I'd mention hotpoint is part of the indesit group and they share common parts nowadays. Indesit stuff is serviced by the hotpoint service network in the uk.

You can't really compare old models to new ones. Lots of these brands change hands over time (e.g. Zanussi now part of Electrolux) and they ship production to the far east etc to get the prices down - all of which has an impact on build quality.

Plus ten years ago your white good were expected to last - now the cheaper ones have a lifespan of 1 year+
#28
can anyone tell me if this is a condenser dryer please?????
#29
cant get price down to £151 . tried code PAHP does not work . any help .?

thanks
#30
ignore last post PDCP works .. ah... lost on sky one just just starting . cool..
#31
Always go for Bosch my Bosch washing machine and Fridge freezer ive had for 3 years now and they still keep going on and on and on and on.....
#32
I've had my Indesit (which looks very similar to this model) for about 5 years...NO problems whatsoever!

I'd buy one again.

Go through Nectar site and earn points as well.
#34
Yes ours never had a vent pipe.
#35
I work in a laundry powder development lab. The best piece's of kit are Bosch & Mielle Washers, they last for ever. Unfortunately you'd probably need a second mortgage to by the Mielle, very expensive but very good. As for this indesit costing £380 originally, that a load of horse s**t. This machine should cost £220 tops. As for reliability, i'd personally give it a wide berth.

:whistling:
#36
I dont think it worth buying a cheap washer; bought a Miele for @£400 with a 3yr gtee and they are designed and enginered to last 25 yrs. Last machine was a Ariston which lasted 4 yrs

So True, which is why I went for the Tesco one in April for a Servis M6512W 1200RPM . Worked out at £98.12 After Quidco :-D . Now thats disposable goods :giggle:

Well i ordered one the day i posted this deal and today had a call from Indesit themselves to arrange delivery on thursday.
It stated 3 weeks on the site but will have it alot faster!
I enquired about another order my sister placed and the lady said they are being despatched as they come off the line.
So for all those who doubted Debenhams would not come through on this deal (myself inc) it looks they are :-)
#39
Appears as if offer no longer available

Got my phone call as well.....I guess you never can tell.:)

....and they've taken the correct amount from my card.
