According to Which? report condensation unit efficiency earns two out of five stars meaning the unit doesn't trap water all that well, and running cost earns three out of five stars - C rated for energy efficiency. Also quite noisy according to the review.

Depressingly it might be a case of getting what you pay for which is a pity, I'm looking for a good dryer at a cheap price.

Dave can you tell me what Which say about the White Knight WM767 White Condenser Dryer please, as I am considering that model from Argos @ £199.99. Cheers

Got this dryer about a year ago second hand from a local engineer that reconditions units. TBH for what i paid its done its job for the year. However the missus is finding that its now not drying properly and has lost most of its heat... so pretty useless tbh. But like i say that was a reconditioned unit so....

I bought the IS70C model - Complete waste of money.

Element burnt out after 2 months & Comet refused replacement as they'd bought out the guarantee so had to accept a repair.

Takes well over 2 hours to dry a load taken from a Bosch Exxcel 1600 spin washer.

Ties bedding up in knots leaving the centre damp.

Doesn't dry any quicker on high heat compared to low heat.

Utter rubbish, if you're after a condenser dryer, avoid this brand (as well as it's hotpoint & creda clones)

when it dies again, I'm getting a gas dryer

I bought this model about 4 years ago and it has had no problems whatsoever - mine does at least 7 dries a week so Iwould highly recommend

I think the efficiency is a 'C' but I couldn't find any condenser dryers better than that anyway

HTH :)

we have an indesit condenser. has broken down five times in 5 years. Consistent!. As everyone else has said after a period of time the drying capability goes down hill.

I will be buying a better brand when it breaks down later this year. !

Here's the link http://www.which.co.uk/reviews/tumble-dryers
White Knight WM767 isn't mentioned unfortunately but there are 'don't buy' reviews of a couple of White Knight condenser models. Personally I'm looking for a brand with a bit more quality and consistency at a White Knight sort of price. A big ask but they do turn up occasionally. If I find one first I'll be sure to post it.

Which, I would say, is pretty good!

people tend to write the reviews after they have owned them for a short period of time. I would of given my one a 9/10 for the first 8 months. Then the score gets lower with every new breakdown. Id actually give mine a 4/10.
