It's an Indesit, owned by Hotpoint. Nuff said, avoid.

If you really want a good value, reliable, well engineered washing machine go for a Zanussi.

Bought my Indesit for £179 in 2005. Previous Indesit lasted 2 years and one before lasted about five years. Present machine is now five years old, It is used every day and has never missed a beat. £179 for five years use. That will do for me. Washing machines can be a bit of a hit or a miss in terms of reliabilty. I always buy the cheapest machine and chuck it out when it dies.
