Looks like normally sells for £129 - 149. Don't think £339 is the actual price. Can't find any reviews either. Somebody who has used it before may be able to comment on it.

Can use the code B15BK05 for making it potentially £90.

Don't forget quidco.

Don't bother. Weighs a ton. Flexes like a ruler. Not a MTB. More like a BSO.

Look at the stem!!! What a joke!!!

Is it any good as a bike for school? The code works too so I'm wondering if the £89.10 new price (fully assembled for free) is worth it? At least at this price it's not a huge loss if it gets stolen!

Cant see any other use for it. As you say it isn't an expensive loss of it goes missing. Not likely to be a very nice bike to ride though.

edit .. Don't forget to use Quidco. For the record I voted this hot because it is probably better than a lot at the price.

With the Quidco discount, it's gotta be worth just over £80 for a brand new bike with a years guarantee. Heat added.

Bargain. Great find and heat added.

Ignore the idiots who, as it doesn't weigh less than a feather, have a hissy fit.

All the expected comments are here and no, it won't be a great bike......but for under a ton you're getting a simple bike (with the exception of the unnecessary suspension forks) with an ALUMINIUM FRAME; SHIMANO gears; KENDA tyres..........

At the quoted weight it's not too far off standard for the type either - certainly not a boat anchor.

Not to be confused with a really good bike but nor should it be confused with a supermarket horror. I reckon for the price it may be worth a punt if expectations aren't unreasonable. I've seen MUCH worse for more money!

A qualified 'hot'.

Anything under 5 grand is a BSO to these militant bike people lol
#11
its a BSO.
okay for riding round a park, however that is not a mountain bike.

at that price, ride round park and throw away when the tyres wear out.

I'll cancel the order for my new MTB then, it was under 5k so don't want a BSO.

Despise Halfords fake RRP's though!

COLD because it doesn't cost stupid amounts of money..... lol
If this same bike had an extra zero added at the end of the price, it would make all the bike snobs cream their pants.

When were mountain bikes invented, incidentally?

Costs less than a new pair of wheels and tyres for your old bike - and you've still got all the other bits left over!

Googled 'BSO' and I can confirm, this is NOT the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, nor is it the British School of Osteopathy. Cold.

cheap

shame it has suspension, would have been ideal for pottering around on

Woke up at 4am to this nightmare, decided not to post, undecided as which way to vote clearly a lot of peeps on here see it as a hot deal, if you genuinely cannot afford or able to save £300 I would stick to the park and within easy reach of home, this will not stand up to the tracks I ride or the trail centres around the uk..
If your looking to get info mtb seriously I.d recommend at least £600+ to get something capable

Spend more (£110), go to Decathlon, choose something without suspension. Enjoy.

I take out you never had a Raleigh Grifter as a kid. How did we cope with our super heavy bikes and three gears but we did, went for days out, raced it, did stunts the lot.

Fine for the nipper to ride to school etc but no more than that.

10% extra off for British Cycling members.

Yes, Decathlon is good for value bikes but it won't be aluminium at that price. I really think that this is probably worth a punt (if you're small enough).

so if i just wanted to buy this for riding on flat roads just round my town for a bit of exercise and weight loss aid is it any good? I want this for normal use just domestic pleasure not for commuting to work or using on a daily basis to ride round london to cut out traffic. not going to use it for offroad or true mountian terrane! LITRALY just ride on flat roads nothing else! please tell me whats wrong with it for that?
#25
It will ride on flat roads, it will exercise you (if you put the effort in!). The bike isn't actually that bad, but the fork is pointless, adds weight, makes things sloppy to handle etc, it will seize over time.

Its is worth spending a few more £££s, loosing the pointless suspension and get something that little bit better. For your intended purpose you don't need to go mad, £130 would cover it.

From my experience Decathlon have great customer service, Halfords can be hit and miss.

Not a lot though you really would be better without the mock suspension forks. Worth a go at under £90 I think but not now it's back to 'regular' discounted price. Is it big enough though - this is a small frame and would probably only stretch to about a 5'9" rider at very max.

You obviously don't understand how parts/performance match up with price.
We aren't being bike snobs, we are just giving suggestions on how this bike will perform.

If I reserved this yesterday on special offer and it's valid until Monday, will my reserved price (£89.10) still be valid?!

Yes it would still be valid as long as you take the proof email with you.

I wouldn't say you're a fool if you have kept a plan B. I am sure you would be safe. Merry Christmas!!
