#4

#5

#6

super deal
have some heat
#8
Mmm. Curry :-)

I work for the company that delivers these currys.....believe it or not both the M&S and Morrisons company are made by the same people on the same site.

Just a heads up beggining of October, Morrison's are doing their largest ever promotion with this curry supplier and it is going to be HUGE! It will be twice as good as last years promotion which was i think like ready meal bags for £2 or something. However this will just cause me one big headache!

I think we all suspect all of these meals are mass produced by some gloop factory somewhere with marginally different recipes and then put into different packs. Mr Kellogs doesn't fool me telling me he doesn't make cornflakes for anyone else. No, he doesn't, but his 40,000 lackies damn well do in the factory next door !

I do love curries and my best at the moment is Asda chicken balti (sauce in bottle is ok as well). I love Sainsbury's chicken makhani but their store is not convenient for me. Neither is Morrisons but maybe I'll make the effort.

Thanks for the heads up on the upcoming curry event.

Mmm. Curry.

Sounds tasty, voted hot :-)

That said, I think the original price should be £13.80 not £14.80, unless I'm miscounting?

Original: 1 + (2 * 3.19) + (2 * 1.26) + (2 * 1.95) = 13.8
Deal: 0.5 + (2 * 2) + (2 * 0.75) + (2 * 1) = 8

Not that it makes any real difference :)
#14
Morrisons curry is really tasty, gonna pop down and treat myself!

Oh no i've just put chicken in the oven :(
#18
So have all the prices been reduced individually or do you have to buy the whole lot to get the deal?
#19
No veggie main dish?
#20
is that true that morrison's currys are the same as M&S'? I prefer M&S cuz they don't have artificial nonsense in the food.... does this curry have artificial colours/flavourings/food inside it?
#21
Morrisons indian meals are certainly some of the best you'll taste, and IMO better than most of the other supermarket curries, which very often don't taste anything like you'd expect them too.Morrisons have different Indian ranges though, and the cheaper chilled or frozen meals aren't any better than anyone elses, but these chilled ones which are produced for them by Noon products (Just check the back of the pack), are the best tasting ones (or more authentic), and which I think are also supplied to M&S.
Voted Hot! This is a very good deal, and I can't wait to get one! ;)
#22
Just eaten one for our tea, minus the beer. I'm not into these 'foreign' beers that taste exactly the same as 90% of any other lager. Very nice.
#23
I'm a big Morrisons fan, but avoid the Lamb Rogan Josh its one of the worst i've tasted. The meat was of decent quality but the curry sauce lacked flavour (no tomato or onion coming through). On the other hand the Aloo Saag for 75p was a tasty bargain.
#24
This Cobra isn't foreign, its made in the the UK under licence.

They're not the same, M&S are very strict with what goes into their products and go as far as choosing where the ingediants go from, other retailers are more lax. They're just made in the same factory and as HAL said by Noon products who serve a lot of retailers like Sainsburys, Somerfield, Budgens etc etc
#26
I'm 34 and have tried most lagers and beers, Cobra is the best imo and definitely after a curry.

I wish it was. None of the curries on the list are remotely hot, nothing to cater for the vindaloo eaters which is a shame as they aren't bad curries and it's a reasonable deal.
#28
Ping! The are not bad for microwave meals. I don't tend to eat these very often, did get one of these currys in an offer a while back at Morrisons and quality was quite decent. I used to get an amazing korma at Asda don't think they do it now was quite expensive for Asda was about £3.50 but tasty!
#29
Ruby Murry for tea tomorrow nite. Thanks
#30
I have not noticed a curry section in our store, will go look again, thanks for this.
#31
Cant recall Morrisons being that much different to Asda, but it's a while since I had one.

Sainsbury's would be my favourite supermarket curry, though I had a nice M&S one a few weeks ago., big pack of something for £4.

May try one of these as popping to Morrisons later.
#32
cool! other half wanted curry this weekend and we are on a budget so i may just treat him to a trip to morrisons!! voted hot!

Agree I had one last night and it was poor quality :x

mmmmmmmm, cobra beer and curry. a good deal at morrisons to be had (there are cheper beers though).

now all i need is a naked lady to serve it to me.
#35
Went for the Cobra beer at £1 for a huge bottle, curry was lacking in meat IMO.
#36
Just been to Morrisons and the currys are £3 each, rice £1, Onion Baj £1, Naan £1, Beers £1 per bottle. Offer must have finished. Still looks good though.
